Today we enjoyed a trip to El Rinconcito for lunch and had a great time learning and growing together in our community!

Outings like these help participants practice important life skills such as ordering their own drinks, interacting with wait staff, sharing with others, pouring salsa, and building confidence in social situations.

Plus, making memories and enjoying time together always makes learning even more fun! And the food was delicious! 🌮💜🧡💛

Tomorrow we’re excited to head out for a fun lunch outing to El Rinconcito! 🌮🎉

We love giving our participants opportunities to experience new places, try different cuisines, and enjoy time together in the community.

Participants do not need to bring a lunch tomorrow. But please remember to send a drink and snack, and ensure participants have at least $15 available in their account for lunch expenses.

Today for Group Cook Day at TAC, we switched things up a bit! Instead of cooking, we enjoyed delicious cold grinder sandwiches while learning a new kitchen skill-how to safely use a manual pull chopper!

Building kitchen confidence and learning practical skills can happen in all kinds of ways, and we had a great time doing it! Plus, they were DELICIOUS! 🥪🔪

And the chips and salsa on the side was pretty delish as well. 💜🧡💛

The Ability Center is having a GARAGE SALE! 🎉 And you would not believe how much amazing stuff we have!

Join us this Friday, May 22 from 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 23 from 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. in the garage at the back of TAC.

Huge thank you to Our Blessed Homestead and Heather Curtis for welcoming TAC out to the homestead for such an amazing hands-on learning experience!💜🧡💛

We spent the day learning all about the purpose of goats, how to milk them, and even got to taste test fresh goat milk. We also learned about chickens, guardian dogs, pastures, and got to pet the sweet goats running around the farm and even one chicken, Sofia!

It was such a fun and educational day filled with learning, laughter, and lots of animals. And as you can tell from the pictures, by the end of the day several of us were completely worn out!

Thank you again for your hospitality, patience, and for sharing your knowledge with us. We had an unforgettable time! 🐐🐓🐶💚

🐐☀️ Farm day fun is ahead!

We’re heading out for an outing to Our Blessed Homestead tomorrow, Monday, May 18th.! Please arrive at TAC by 9:00 AM or earlier so we can leave on time.

✔️ Bring a picnic lunch that does not need to be heated
✔️ Pack a snack and drinks
✔️ Wear clothes that can get dirty
✔️ We’ll be spending the day outdoors and it will be hot!

We plan to return to The Ability Center by 2:00 PM. We can’t wait for a fun day with animals, fresh air, and great memories! And if we're lucky, we'll get to sample some goodies! 💜🧡💛

Words can not even begin to describe this evening! 💜🧡💛

Our TAC participants spent the past month working on their art, and the past several days planning, preparing, cleaning, decorating. And they spent a big part of today preparing food in anticipation of a great art show. 🎨

And you delivered! Thank you to everyone who came tonight to show your love, spend time with our amazing participants, and for making donations to take their pieces home. You will never know how much we all appreciate it all!🥰
