We need your help! 🍀 We have a goal to receive a shamrock from all 50 states by St. Patrick's Day. Please share with all your friends and family in other states or tag them.

It can be a shamrock, a green colored card, or a kind note. Please mail to The Ability Center at 237 South Main Street, Beaver Dam, KY 42320. You can also email them if needed (though our participants really love checking the mail!) to theabilitycenter@yahoo.com 🍀🪙💚

Through various socialization activities, community outings, teamwork activities, group games, peers helping one another learn new skills, sharing meals together, and so much more...TAC helps our participants build lasting friendships and an amazing support system.

Wow! What a busy and fun day we had learning and growing! There were so many things learned and a lot of fun and great food. 💜🧡💛

Grocery shopping teaches how to make smart choices regarding price and size, following a list, sticking to a budget, how to check out and interact with cashiers.

Preparing and cooking our burgers and fries taught us food safety, timing of different dishes, and teamwork.

Planting our germinated seeds in the dirt is a wonderful sensory hands on activity and teaches where our food comes from.

Picking up trash in the areas nearby our facility for Random Acts of Kindness Day allowed us to give back in an actionable way to the community we are a part of.

And we had an amazing day!🌱🍔

Tomorrow is World Kindness Day🫶 And at TAC, we encourage each and every one of our supporters, followers and participants to practice kindness every day!

Compliment a stranger, bake something for a neighbor, call someone you know who doesn't get many calls, check on an elderly person you know may be lonely, or offer a smile to someone who seems down.

Every small act of kindness makes a BIG impact!💜🧡💛

You may be asking yourself, what is Day Training and what is The Ability Center?

The Ability Center is an Adult Day Training facility, and here's what we're all about!

We teach and encourage daily living skills, social relationship skills, job skills, communication skills and so much more every day!

Not only are participants working on these skills, they're spending time with peers, and out in the community, and enjoying their work.

They're not only gaining practical skills, they're building a community and gaining confidence!

A community outing to eat at Stevie's Buffet, musical chairs to win sensory fidgets (hint, everyone was a winner🤫) decorating cupcakes, Valentine's bingo, sharing our Valentine cards with our friends...it was a big day!

We have way too much fun learning various skills at The Ability Center! And the past few days, we've gotten to cook delicious food, celebrate our Administrative Assistant Kristi Tribble's birthday, and work on very important job skills. 🎂🎉

Along with the fun, we learned chopping skills🫑, how to open cans, timing for a food dish, team work, math skills, cooperation and communication, organization and so much more!💜🧡💙

We are excited to start a new, and very busy, week at The Ability Center!💜🧡💙

At TAC, we are ready for a week filled with all the Valentine's fun, and a lot of work and learning. Whether it's new skills, or ones we've already been working on, we are ready!

Filling fundraiser orders helps us work on various job skills, math skills, and team work.🍬🍫 Our outing to Stevie's Buffet helps us work on community interaction, ordering, budgeting, and communication.

Group Cook reinforces reading and following a recipe, fine motor skills, budgeting, team work and so much more.🥘
