Why bother with a bind? We bind in yoga to increase flexibility, deepen poses, improve strength and balance and enhance focus. Binds engage and stretch muscles in new ways, create a sense of stability, and require concentration, which can help quiet the mind and lead to a deeper physical and mental practice.
Some days we like the binds, other days we may hate them but the binds are always there for us - just like our mats and the practice of yoga.
