✨ Transformation Tuesday ✨ Brenna came to us with an anterior crossbite, which is when the top teeth set behind the lower teeth. Just look at her before and after photos! 🪄🦷

Through personalized orthodontic care, including braces and rubber bands, we were able to guide her teeth into proper alignment and now her smile looks absolutely perfect. 😁💯 Not only has it improved aesthetically, but her bite is healthier and functioning the way it should.

It’s always amazing to see the confidence that comes with a healthy, happy smile. 💫 We’re so proud of her journey and grateful to be part of it!

✨ Transformation Tuesday ✨ This week we are featuring a crossbite because they are - without a doubt- one of the most common problems we see in patients.

When Allison started her orthodontic journey, her back teeth didn’t line up the way they should. Because of this, her lower jaw had to shift to one side every time she closed her mouth just to make her teeth fit together. Orthodontists refer to this as a functional shift. Over time, that repeated slide can create uneven pressure on the teeth and jaw, leading to extra wear and tear on the enamel, muscle strain, and stress on the jaw joint known as the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder.

The good news with a bite malocclusion is that early orthodontic treatment can correct it by gently widening the upper jaw with a palate expander and braces to guide the teeth into the right position. The expander will provide the extra space needed to match up the upper and lower Jaws correctly and eliminate the shift so the jaw can close naturally without sliding. That means healthier teeth, a more balanced bite, and a smile built to last. 🪄🦷

Maisy made our day! 🐾✨ We had the sweetest visit from Maisy, a certified therapy dog, who stopped by to see Dr. Spokane and the team. Dressed for the occasion in her starry headband and red, white, and blue bandana, she brought all the patriotic flair and ALL the love! 🇺🇸❤️

Between patients, she made her rounds offering tail wags, snuggles, and what we’re officially calling the best kind of “staff therapy.” It’s amazing how four paws and a happy heart can instantly lift everyone’s spirits.

Thank you, Maisy, for the cuddles, the smiles, and the much-needed dose of joy. You’re welcome back anytime! 🐶💙

✨ Transformation Tuesday ✨ Teresa came to us ready to finally address something she had lived with for years... severely crowded teeth in both the upper and lower arches. One of her lower incisors was completely blocked out of the arch! 😮

From her first consultation, it was clear that Teresa’s jaw function and anatomy were otherwise healthy and correct. That allowed us to focus on the most conservative, biologically sound solution. After careful planning, the best path forward was the removal of a single lower incisor that was trapped within the arch. This created the space needed to align everything properly without compromising facial balance or function.

The results speak for themselves:
✔ A beautiful, smooth lower arch
✔ A well-aligned upper arch
✔ Upper and lower jaws that meet in harmony

Teresa’s before-and-after photos show just how powerful the right treatment plan can be! She looks amazing, and we couldn’t be happier for her! 😁💯
