It is more convenient than ever to be treated at Heritage Valley ConvenientCare locations! You can now “get in line” to see a ConvenientCare practitioner before you leave home! In addition to seeing how many people are ahead of you, we’ve added estimated wait time information.

To access this feature, download the Heritage Valley app (iHVHS/iPhones or aHVHS/Androids) and click on the “Activity” button. Next, click “Heritage Valley ConvenientCare” and then click on the green “Get in Line” box underneath your location. From there, simply follow the instructions!

You will receive a text confirming your request to be placed in line, along with your estimated wait time. To cancel a request, click “Activity;” “ConvenientCare;” and the red “Cancel Request” button.

It was a gorgeous day at Olde Stonewall Golf Course for the 36th Tito Francona Memorial Classic! The annual scramble hosted approximately 130 golfers and raised nearly $75,000 to benefit The Tito Francona Heart and Vascular Center and the Cancer Treatment Center at Heritage Valley Beaver. The first-place team, sponsored by McCarl’s Services, included (left to right): Brad Johnston of FNB; Tim Gozion, of Napa Prime Chophouse; Michael McCarl of McCarl’s Services; and Matt Grossman, Fifth Third Bank.

We are pleased to announce that Heritage Valley Sewickley and Heritage Valley Beaver have both been recognized as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Knee and Hip Replacement by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). In addition, Heritage Valley Sewickley has been recognized as a Blue Distinction Center+ for Spine Surgery.

These awards, part of the Blue Distinction® Specialty Care program, recognize healthcare facilities that demonstrate expertise in patient safety, deliver better health outcomes, and are more cost-effective. World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated during the first week of August, so this is a good time to talk about Heritage Valley’s free Breastfeeding Classes for Moms-to-be. The classes, held six times a year, are led by a board-certified lactation consultant and provide participants with the opportunity to learn about breastfeeding and to ask questions. Heritage Valley also offers a breastfeeding support group, the Breastfeeding Moms Network, which meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the Maternal Child Health Classroom at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Heritage Valley has Registered Nurses with special training to support breastfeeding families. We also offer one-on-one consultations with International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Liz Leon. Liz is available by appointment weekday mornings at Heritage Valley Beaver’s Maternal Child Health Unit and weekday afternoons at Heritage Valley Pediatrics’ Chippewa office. Heritage Valley Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine welcomes Aaron Lampkin, DO and Michelle Marks, MD, to its practice. Both physicians will be seeing patients at the Beaver office, located at 1000 Dutch Ridge Road.

Dr. Lampkin received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie. Additionally, he has had robotic bronchoscopy training through Intuitive Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Lampkin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. Lampkin is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Marks received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She has developed and delivered educational material on asthma, COPD and pulmonary physical exams. Dr. Marks is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, and is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.

Heart & Vascular - Kennedy is now Heart & Vascular - Robinson. Not only does this practice have a new name, but also a new location!

As of July 14th, the practice is now located at 2201 Park Manor Blvd., Suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, in the Heritage Valley Robinson Township Medical Neighborhood. Please enter on the side of the Medical Neighborhood closest to PNC Bank.

Heritage Valley has opened its eighth ConvenientCare location! The Kennedy Township site is located within the Medical Office Building that is connected to the former Heritage Valley Kennedy hospital, and currently offers:

- ConvenientCare Walk-in Clinic: Monday - Saturday from 8 am until 7:30 pm and Sunday from 8 am until 3:30 pm (412-749-7960)

- Lab Draw Services: Monday - Friday from 7 am until 3 pm; closed from 12-12:30 pm daily (412-749-7969)
