🎉 National Hospital Week Celebrations at Heritage Valley! 🎉

This month, Heritage Valley employees enjoyed National Hospital Week festivities featuring complimentary food trucks, ice cream, and bundtinis as a small token of appreciation for all they do each day.

The entry deadline is TODAY for Health Care Scholarships!

Students in the Heritage Valley Beaver and Heritage Valley Sewickley service areas who are pursuing an education in a healthcare field are invited to apply for scholarships of varying amounts funded and awarded by the Medical Staffs of each hospital.

Applicants may be in their senior year of high school, high school graduates, or current post-secondary students (nursing school, undergraduate university, etc.). Students must provide proof of future or current enrollment in order to receive any scholarship monies.

A committee of Heritage Valley physicians at each hospital will review the applications. Scholarship selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, work and volunteer experience and plans for a career in a medical field.

Please visit https://www.heritagevalley.org/scholarships/ to complete the online application. The deadline for submission of the application and required attachments is May 29, 2026, and winners will be announced by June 30, 2026.

The Heritage Valley Fitness Center is open to the public and is offering memberships for $40/month. Professionals with experience in physical therapy and exercise physiology can develop a program that meets your needs. A supervised wellness program offers you many health benefits such as cardiovascular conditioning, total body strengthening, flexibility, improved body composition and injury prevention.

The Fitness Center, located in the Beaver Medical Commons building at 1030 Be**er Hollow Road in Beaver, is open Monday – Thursday from 7 am – 6 pm, and on Fridays from 7 am – 4 pm. Thank you to all sponsors, vendors, auction donors and participants who made the Heritage Valley Health System Foundation’s 2026 Cheers! to Good Health event a success!

Approximately 300 people enjoyed delicious cuisine from a dozen different restaurants/caterers at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. Participants enjoyed wine, spirits, beer, lattes, and other non-alcoholic options from a variety of beverage vendors as well. Local artist George Williams entertained and amazed the crowd by painting three beautiful pieces that were auctioned off with approximately 30 other items.

In all, the event raised nearly $125,000 for security enhancements in the Emergency Departments at Heritage Valley Beaver and Heritage Valley Sewickley hospitals.
