Sangha Means Community
Sangha Center for Yoga and Wellness was born out of a desire to leave the stresses of the corporate world behind to create a wellness practice. Our mission was to create a studio that would marry eastern philosophies to physical movement in a peaceful and noncompetitive environment. Thus, in 2010, Sangha Center for Yoga and Wellness was born.
Sangha means community in Sanskrit. The Sangha was originally established in the fifth century BCE in order “to provide a means for those who wish to practice full time in a direct and highly disciplined way, free from the restrictions and responsibilities of the household life.” We have applied this philosophy to creating a community dedicated to wellness and bringing balance inclusive of the responsibilities in modern day life. With only one restriction, phones off, please. 😉
After establishing a strong presence for its first few years, Sangha Center for Yoga and Wellness partnered with other wellness businesses in Beaver and now occupies the third floor of the Center for Wellness at 455 Third St, Beaver, PA. Together with Free Spirit Acupuncture and Herban Touch Juice Lab, we have created a holistic health destination where you can feed the body and the soul.
Stop by our Sangha to say hello and check out the space and the good vibes. Our ambition is to be a center for positivity and healing where you can escape the pressures of everyday life - if only for an hour - to recharge, refuel and revive. In addition to Yoga, we offer Ayurvedic Consultations, Reiki Sessions and various Wellness Workshops. Additionally, we sell a full line of clothing and yoga accessories, Young Living Essential Oils, handmade jewelry, herbs, spices, art and literature that will feed your mind, body and soul. Namaste. 🙏🧘♀️🐢
