Welcome…In March of 1998 Noll Funeral Home, Inc., of Beaver was founded. Two years later, Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home of Midland was purchased and added as a branch location.

“Service…My grandfather, Pete Noll owned and operated a service station in Brighton Township during the 1950’s. Can you imagine if he were to return today what he would think? Where my grandfather or one of his employees would once walk to the car, lift the hood, check oil, wash windows, and pump the gas, today the customer has to do all of that by themselves! Times sure have changed…”

Owner Mark Noll refuses to accept this change. He continues to operate these funeral facilities based on the logo “More Service Than You Expect”. Unlike many companies today that reduce their amount of service, Noll/Schwerha Funeral Homes continue to increase theirs. We pride ourselves on meeting all needs of the families we serve. Some examples are assisting families with Social Security benefits, Veterans benefits and car title transfers. These tasks can sometimes seem overwhelming to a grieving family and it is our job to continue the assistance no matter if it is six days or six months after a funeral. During the Christmas holiday season, memorial trees are placed in the homes that are decorated with tribute ornaments for each family served during the year. Assistance through the funeral process is imperative for a grieving family. At Noll/Schwerha we want to make sure that each family receives everything they need during this difficult time.

"Cricket" Jeffrey Lynn French, 77, of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, bringing a gentle close to a vibrant life filled with warmth, creativity, and unmistakable style.
Born March 12, 1947, Cricket lived with a flair that turned every day into something special. Her love for the spotlight shone brightest when she shared the stage with her sisters, creating harmonies that warmed hearts and filled rooms with joy. From singing on stage, to singing at impromptu gatherings, her passion for singing with her sisters was only matched by her love for them. Her love and generosity extended to her family and friends, for whom she opened her home and heart, and made sure they were never hungry.
Cricket developed her lifelong passion for hair and beauty from her mother, and found not only a hobby, but a career. For decades she taught cosmetology, sharing her expertise and encouragement with countless students who left her classroom not just with new skills, but with confidence they carried into their own lives. Nobody will forget her signature style: everything had to be leopard. She wore her love for the leopard print proudly, and it became as much of her as her generous heart and quick smile.
Beyond the salon, Cricket was a gifted baker, whose love for creating from scratch brought joy to so many. She mastered the art of homemade bread and delicious cookies, and crafted exquisite wedding cakes, each a labor of love and creativity. She was always happiest when she saw those she loved enjoying the warmth and comfort of a freshly baked delight.
Cricket is survived by her children, Jeffrey French (Emily) and Jason French; her beloved grandchildren, Gabriel, Wyatt, and Trace; her sister Kathy Thomas; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Stella Peacock; her husband, Thomas French; and her sister Rosemary Peacock.
A service is being held graveside on January 5th at 1:00pm, with a Celebration of Life gathering that will be determined.
Professional Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
Cricket's life of selflessness reminds us that Grace is quiet strength and Love is shown in the everyday.

Carmela M. Escoe (née De Grazia), age 93, passed away surrounded by her children on December thirty-first, twenty twenty-five, in Beaver, Pennsylvania. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a devout Roman Catholic and died well-fortified in the sacraments.
Widowed at a young age, Carmela met life with remarkable resilience, a positive attitude, grace, and love. She built a warm and welcoming home and became the matriarch of a strong and deeply loving family. There was nothing more important to her than being surrounded by her family.
People loved her, and she made and nurtured friends of all ages — she frequently adopted her children’s friends as her own, whether having coffee at Starbucks or lunch at Mario’s. She enjoyed gatherings and was a great conversationalist.
She was known for her delicious food — including an epic pork sauce, meatballs, and homemade pasta — and for her even more famous baked goods like Christmas cookies, Easter bread, pies, and Texas sheet cake. It was always a delight to be at her table and, if you were lucky, to come away with her recipe or a tip.
Carmela was an avid player of bridge, games, and puzzles. Having been raised on Nancy Drew, she was an avid reader of mystery novels and a fan of Murder, She Wrote. She loved a good whodunit! She was a truth-teller with a dry, sharp wit that would leave you laughing over her comments for years.
She is survived by her children: Valerie (Stanley) Namola; Carla Escoe; Jim (Gigi) Escoe; and Lisa (Mark) Winter. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Chelsea (Eric) Matsko; Jordan Namola; Brianna (Tyler) Strotman; Maria Escoe; and Rowan Winter; and by her great-grandchildren: Knox, Nash, Palmer, Emery, and Oliver, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Carmela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Escoe; her parents, Maria and James De Grazia; her brothers, Frank and Jim De Grazia; and her best friend and twin sister, Rosalie Gyurina.
Her family is deeply grateful for the friendship, love, care, and kindness shown to her over the years — and especially by the staff at Villa Saint Joseph, where she resided later in life — and they will forever cherish the example she set through her strength, generosity, and unwavering love.
Friends will be received on Sunday January 4, 2026 from 12pm-4pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA, 15009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday January 5, 2026 at 10am at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 200 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009.

Private Entombment will take place at Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum.

Evelyn Ann Dostalik, 88, of Ohioville, PA passed away January 1, 2026, at Hemsley House of McCandless surrounded by her loving husband and children.
Evelyn was born on June 20, 1937, to Mike and Theresa Hornick in East Liverpool, OH. After graduating from Midland High School, Evelyn attended Duquesne University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. While there, she met the love of her life, Ernest (Ernie) Dostalik. They were united in marriage on December 26, 1959.
Evelyn and Ernie started their life together in Aspinwall, PA, where Evelyn taught in the Fox Chapel school district. A short time later they moved to Midland, PA, where Ernie started working at George’s Pharmacy and Evelyn cared for Ernest Jr, their newborn son. Evelyn and Ernie later welcomed two more children, daughter Theresa, and son Martin.
Shortly before the birth of Theresa, Ernie purchased George’s Pharmacy. Evelyn took over the bookwork for the business while continuing to substitute teach in Midland and Western Beaver. Her work increased two-fold when they purchased a second location – Porter’s Pharmacy in Moon Township, PA. Evelyn continued in this role for 47 years, until both locations were sold.
In 1968, Evelyn and Ernie built a home on the edge of her parent’s farm and orchard in Ohioville, PA. There, many wonderful memories were made as a family.
Evelyn loved spending time in the kitchen cooking staples like lamb, stuffed cabbage, potato salad, banana bars, and Silver Star ham for family and friends. She and Ernie often held family dinners on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and enjoyed hosting large family reunions, graduation parties and wedding receptions at their home, where their large backyard and pool offered the perfect place to gather.
Traveling with family and friends was something Evelyn treasured. Her favorites included several trips to Aruba with Ernie; a Hawaiian family vacation; four trips to Slovakia; an Alaskan cruise; and a trip to the Grand Canyon with friends. She also enjoyed trips to Illinois and Iowa to attend her grand/great-grandchildren’s concerts, recitals, birthday parties and graduations.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest Sr; children Theresa Dostalik (Monaca, PA) and Marty (Kari) Dostalik (Urbandale, IA); daughter-in-law Becky Dostalik (Walnut, IL); grandchildren Ruth (Isaac) Vohland (Walnut, IL), Ben Dostalik (Walnut, IL), Adam Dostalik (Indianapolis, IN) and Haley Dostalik (Houston, TX); great grandchildren Livia, Audra and Jacob Vohland (Walnut, IL); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Theresa Hornick; brother Mike Hornick; “brother” Tony Vohar; sister-in-law Norma Hornick; and son, Ernest Dostalik Jr.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Noll Funeral Home in Beaver, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 6 at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Center Township, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed toward the Marfan Foundation (marfan.org/donate) and Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
The family would like to thank the staff at Hemsley House of McCandless and Hope Hospice for their loving care and support.

Rocco “Rocky” Anthony Uccellini, 91, of Midland, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. A devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and proud American veteran, Rocco lived a life shaped by hard work, humility, and a genuine kindness that never wavered.
Born in Midland on September 21, 1934, to the late Carlo and Emma Uccellini, Rocco was the fourth of five children and was preceded in death by his siblings John “Moose,” Chris, Rose, and Annie. He graduated from Midland High School in 1952 and was a lifelong parishioner of St. Blaise Catholic Church. He was also a lifelong member of the Midland St. Anthony Club. He built his life and raised his family on Tuscarawas Road in Ohioville, a home that became a steady and familiar place for friends, neighbors, and relatives, a home marked by warmth, good humor, and Rocco’s dependable presence.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army, serving on active duty from 1957 to 1959. His service took him to Berlin during the height of post-war tensions, where he was stationed with the Sixth Infantry behind the Iron Curtain as part of the international occupying forces, a unique and defining time in his life.
Rocco was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy, who passed on July 17, 2025. Their marriage was a true partnership, steady, loyal, and grounded in a lasting love that was evident to all who knew them.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Rosa Uccellini of Coraopolis, and Andrew and Kim Uccellini of Bellevue; and by his grandchildren, Jacob Uccellini (Maddy LaPole), Isabella Uccellini, and Tessa Uccellini. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Rocco was a man with a big heart, a great sense of humor, and a natural gift for connecting with others. He loved children and devoted countless hours to volunteering as a Little League coach long before he had children of his own. His easygoing nature and genuine warmth endeared him to young athletes and parents alike. Win or lose, his teams always ended the day with post-game ice cream.
Rocco’s kind nature only deepened as he got older. He had a way of greeting everyone with a warm smile, a quick wave, or a friendly word, and those small gestures always seemed to stay with people. His gentle spirit and easygoing manner made him someone you were always glad to have in the room.
He spent nearly 30 years at Crucible Steel, where he was known as a good coworker and a great friend. He ended his work career at the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, meeting a lot of great people and enjoying the work he did.
Above all, Rocco will be remembered for his integrity, compassion, and deep love for his family. His presence was gentle, reliable, and reassuring, a combination that made the world feel a little kinder for those lucky enough to know him.

12/19/2025

With sadness in our hearts but with the sure hope of life eternal, we announce the passing of Daniel J. McGaffick of Lakewood, NY (formerly of Industry, PA) on December 15, 2025.
Daniel (Dan) was born in July of 1978 to Keith and Marian Shakley McGaffick of Industry, where he was raised with an older sister and younger brother, enjoying neighborhood and church friends and family. He graduated from Western Beaver High School, where he was active in sports and music, and continued his education at Houghton College, earning a degree in Outdoor Recreation and Camp Administration. Dan then settled in Western New York.
Dan was encouraging and caring – he enjoyed people and always shared a positive outlook. His Christian faith set the tone for the way he lived his life. He consistently joined Sunday services on-line at both his church in NY, where his son also helps lead worship, and at his hometown church in Ohioville, PA. Dan also drew inspiration from the worship services of former youth group friends and college classmates who are now pastors and worship leaders.
Since youth, Dan loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, biking, rock climbing, camping, rafting, and skiing among other things. He ran the Pittsburgh Marathon; hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail; rappelled from the cliffs at Annapolis Rocks; skied New York’s best powder; and climbed up Colorado’s Buffalo Mountain at sunrise, just to be greeted by a grizzly old mountain goat at the top. A favorite childhood memory was an epic snowball fight on Andrew’s Glacier in the Rocky Mountains in the middle of July. Dan was affectionately known by his nickname Spidez, based on his penchant for scaling difficult climbing routes. He enjoyed exploring the nearby Allegheny National Forest trails and often was accompanied by his son Reese, with whom he shared many treasured times. Daniel also cherished outdoor adventures with his brother Steve and conversations with his sister Carrie and other family members over holidays and special events.
Dan and Reese also shared a love of movies, art, and cars, and Dan was creatively talented with drawing and sketching. (When Reese was still young, Dan taught him how to recognize and draw the front end (emblems) of cars, fostering a gift that grew into innovative and complex designs as Reese grew older). Dan enjoyed watching Reese’s sports competitions, academic endeavors, and musical talents and could not have been more proud a father.
Dan had a bent toward the theatrical, as well, and when in college, had fun with his friends putting together elaborate skits for talent show nights that became well-known across campus. He enjoyed his college friendships immensely and was blessed by their close connections over the years.
Dan’s early work experience included church youth pastoring, selling cars, serving as activities director at a nursing home, and working as camp staff. For the last 20 years, he worked at Chautauqua Machine Specialties as a machinist and quality manager. There, he was trained in the trade by owners Denny and Cindy, who took Dan under their wing and treated him as a son. We as a family are so grateful for the love and support the Furlows have shown Daniel over the years.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Marian Shakely McGaffick of Industry, PA, in 2019; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Martha Shakely of Brighton Township, PA; and paternal grandparents, Willard and Nita Jane McGaffick of Industry, PA. Dan is survived by his son Reese, and Reese’s mother, Casey McGaffick of Ashville, NY, as well as father, Keith McGaffick of Industry, PA; sister, Carrie McGaffick of Ashburn, VA; brother, Stephen McGaffick, of Edwards, CO; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
One could not be more blessed than we were to have Daniel as a son, father, and brother. He was deeply beloved. In Dan’s memory, we encourage friends to visit a National, State, or local park or plan a great outdoor adventure.
The funeral will be held at 6 pm Tuesday December 23, 2025, in Panama Methodist Church, where friends will be received from 3-6 pm Tuesday. The funeral will be livestreamed at panamamethodist.org.
A second funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday December 27, 2025, in Four Mile Church, Beaver, PA where friends will be received from noon to 2 pm Saturday. This service will be livestreamed at Fourmile.org.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry, PA.
In recognition of Dan’s love for Christian youth ministry, memorial contributions can be made in Dan’s memory to: Bemus Point Global Methodist Church (youth group); Panama Global Methodist Church; Four Mile Church; or The Center (Midland, PA).
