Our St. Patrick’s Day Family Night was filled with joy, laughter, and a touch of Irish magic here at The Ashford of Beavercreek! Residents and their families gathered for a festive evening featuring an energetic performance from the talented Celtic Academy of Irish Dance—and they absolutely brought the house down! 💃☘️

Guests enjoyed a delicious Irish-inspired feast including:
🥬 Corned beef and cabbage
🥗 Irish flag salad
🥔 Creamy colcannon potatoes
🥕 Roasted root vegetables
🍞 Fresh Irish soda bread
🍹 Leprechaun lime drinks

Meet Trixie — the fluffy superstar of our community! 🐾✨

Trixie is our beautiful, bright-eyed husky who calls the assisted living side of our community home. With her soft fur, wagging tail, and those unforgettable husky eyes, she has quickly become everyone’s favorite four-legged friend. But Trixie isn’t just adorable — she’s making a real difference.

Recently, we started bringing Trixie over to visit our Memory Care residents, and the response has been nothing short of heartwarming. Smiles light up the room the moment she trots in.

For individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer’s, interactions with animals like Trixie can have powerful benefits:

🐶 Reduces anxiety and agitation – Gentle petting and quiet companionship can help soothe restlessness.

Our residents had an incredible time during Music Therapy with Laura Baggette yesterday! The room came alive as familiar songs sparked smiles, toe-tapping, and heartfelt sing-alongs. From clapping rhythms to playing along with instruments, everyone was fully engaged and having fun together!

Music therapy isn’t just entertaining - it’s powerful. For seniors, it can:

Today we have the Greene County Library in the Lobby for a Lobby Stop.

Connie has been coming monthly since we opened and loves getting to know the residents and their reading interests!

At the Lobby Stop residents can sign up for a library card, look through books and movies to sign out, request certain books or authors, and they even have some freebies to grab!

We are looking forward to doing this more in the future!
