Physicians belong in every room where decisions about health are being made. 🩺🏛️

Today, Dr. Emily Artz (R2) represented us boldly at the U.S. Capitol; pictured here with the president of the AAFP and the senator for Ohio. She carried with her the voices of our patients, the stories of our exam rooms, and the urgent call for policies that protect health and dignity.

Healthcare doesn’t stop at the clinic door—and neither should we. From exam tables to Senate floors, we must continue to advocate for safer systems, better access, and a future where patient care is guided by compassion, science, and equity.

Let’s keep pushing.

On Friday we celebrated a powerful milestone: our graduating resident physicians stepped into the next chapter as attendings. They’ve faced long nights, high stakes, and relentless challenges with grit, grace, and growth. Their dedication has shaped lives — not just their patients’, but ours too.

To our transitional year residents: we’re beyond proud to have been part of your journey. As you head into your dream specialties, know that you carry with you the foundation of excellence, compassion, and resilience you built here.

The white coat fits a little differently now — heavier with wisdom, rinsed of fear, and weathered with resilience. You’ve earned every thread. Go forward and lead boldly. The world needs doctors like you. 💙🩵💚

Nights shifts go significantly better with yoga, food, and company. Last week was Resident Appreciation Week and our amazing coordinator and the Med Ed team provided all three, ensuring that all of our residents, including the night team, felt appreciated.
