Pain Alternatives - The Power to Heal.
Who we are: We are a specialty office consisting of licensed Doctors of
Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) and a medical massage therapist.
What we do: DOs are trained to be doctors first, and specialists second. Our
doctors specialize in Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment, or OMT. OMT is a
hands-on approach towards care. It involves using the hands to manipulate the
musculoskeletal system-your body’s interconnected system of nerves, muscles
and bones. Using this treatment can diagnose, treat, aid the process of healing,
relieve psychological stress, manage pain, and improve circulation. There are
approximately 15 major types of OMT, and more than 1,000 individual
techniques.
Our other specialty in the office is massage therapy. Massage therapy can aid in
improving circulation, reducing edema, easing muscle tension and headaches,
reduce stress and anxiety, and increase recovery and range of motion.
We’re currently accepting new patients for two of our professionals in office.
● Ann Habenicht, DO, FAAO, FACOFP, CS - She received her medical degree
from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University
and has been in practice for more than 40 years.
● Renee Jones - She started working in the healthcare field in 1996 as a
Chiropractic Assistant, then received her license as a Massage Therapist.
She specializes in Prenatal Massage, Sports Massage, Passive Stretching,
and Deep Tissue Massage.
