UnitedHealthcare has announced plans to remove prior authorization requirements for approximately 30% of services — including chiropractic care.

This is a positive step toward reducing administrative burden, improving patient access to conservative musculoskeletal care, and allowing doctors to spend more time focused on patients instead of paperwork.

OSCA will continue monitoring implementation details and advocating for policies that improve access to chiropractic services while reducing unnecessary barriers to care for Ohio patients and providers alike.
