I think this is a really good and important article. The gist - using a pulse oximeter is another important tool to add to self monitoring, even if you’re feeling well. A lot of people who end up getting really sick with COVID19 come to the hospital with very low oxygen saturation levels. Catching that early might make a big difference in treatment options and outcomes :)

[03/23/20]   Dear Shine On family,

After much thought, reading, and listening to the Governor and Dr. Acton during the daily press conferences, I'm going to be cancelling all appointments scheduled through April 6, 2020 at this time 😞 I feel like this is the safest way for all of us to continue to help 'flatten the curve' and to protect ourselves and each other, as well as those most vulnerable to COVID-19.

I will be in touch as things continue to develop, and if you have any issues that come up - or if you just want to say hello - please feel free to email or text me! I will make myself available for any 'emergency chiropractic' situations that may come up as well. If you have any questions about supplements that may be helpful, let me know. Vitamin A, D3, C, B Vitamins, and zinc (especially zinc lozenges) are all great things to be taking/getting through food right now.

I hope this time to slow down is reconnecting and that you are all well and rested. A huge thank you to all the people working in the hospitals, daycares, grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, vet offices, and all other places staying open. I look forward to being on the other side of this with you all ❤.

As the COVID-19 information keeps coming out, here are some updates about the office.

As of now, we will remain open (this will be a day by day decision as things are changing so rapidly). We will also be sanitizing the tables between patients, washing/sanitizing our hands between patients, and wiping down surfaces in order to keep things safe for everyone.

If you aren’t feeling well, have a cough or fever - or if you’ve been exposed to someone with a cough or fever, please cancel your appointment. You can do this online or by texting/calling us. It’s also suggested that people wait in their cars until it’s time for your appointment, thus minimizing contact with others for the time being.

Staying calm and keeping our immune systems up are really important things to do for ourselves right now! When you’re panicked or scared your immune system becomes suppressed because the body is in fight or flight mode - not focused on digesting food, fighting off pathogens, etc. 🙂
