Important Update for SNAP Recipients in Oregon

Because of the ongoing federal government shutdown, SNAP (food assistance) benefits may be delayed starting in November. The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) announced that if the shutdown continues past November 1st, benefits might not be issued on time.

If you have a balance on your EBT card, you can still use it. Once the shutdown ends, any delayed benefits will be added to your card.
At HDE Home Care, we know how important these benefits are. If you think you might need support, please reach out to your Case Manager or PA.

ODHS also recommends SNAP participants:
Check your EBT card balance regularly
Keep up with reporting requirements
