March Madness is bringing movement, friendly competition, and fundraising to Touchmark in the West Hills. 🏀

In this KATU segment, our Health & Fitness Club Director, Sam Holzman, shares how residents are staying active while raising funds for the Brian Grant Foundation, supporting people living with Parkinson’s in our region.

From a bracket challenge and resident Shootout Challenge to a seedling sale grown by residents and team members, it’s all about staying engaged and giving back.

The Nistler family traveled to Texas recently for the Austin Marathon—and made a special stop at Touchmark’s newest community, Touchmark at Georgetown, where they welcomed residents and team members to the Touchmark family.

The night before the race, Touchmark Founder Werner G. Nistler, Jr. and his family gathered for the second photo. From left to right: Molly, Ryan, Max (all finishing the half marathon), Theo, Maggie (half marathon), Jennifer Miller, Diana (full marathon), Louise, Elliott and Emily (both half marathon), Colleen, and Werner. If you saw a Touchmark logo fly past you in a blur—there’s a good chance it was a Nistler!

The trip was a meaningful reminder of the values Werner built Touchmark on—family, hard work, and living life to its fullest at every age.

Congratulations to everyone who raced, and thank you to the Nistler family for bringing your energy, heart, and spirit to Georgetown.

Last night's third-annual Veterans Ball was a night to remember. Residents, families, and community guests gathered to honor those who’ve served—complete with cocktails, jazz, and heartfelt reflections from veterans like LeRoy Frahm, who shared, “We not only want to recognize those veterans, we want to recognize their families, who are under the strain and sacrifice, especially when they are deployed and gone from their home.”

To every veteran and their loved ones: thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and service. We also thank WBAY TV-2 for covering this meaningful event.

The evening was filled with cocktails, appetizers, and jazz.

At Touchmark at Harwood Groves, generations came together this week in a heartwarming display of gratitude. ❤️ First graders from Eagles Elementary visited our veteran residents to personally deliver handmade crafts and thank-you notes—sharing smiles, stories, and appreciation ahead of Veterans Day.

We’re grateful for our partnership through the Adopt-A-School program and for these young students who made the day so meaningful. And we are especially thankful for our veterans and all they have given to all of us.
