More than 600 measles cases have been reported in 22 states this year, most among children and teens ages 5 -19. While we haven’t seen any cases in Oregon yet this year, this is a good reminder to make sure kids are up to date on their measles (MMR) vaccine. Two doses provide 97% protection against measles.

Adolescent Immunization Action Week is a great time to check your children’s immunization records and help them stay protected.

Great article on wellness industry and far right. As LGBTQIA+ and women’s rights are stripped away, and the climate crisis rages on, the same forces that monetize wellness culture are working to further diminish agency and autonomy under the guise of traditional values and moral superiority.”

From trad wives to raw milk, social media’s wellness trends have been radicalized—and could cost us a more equitable future.

Our Story

Acupuncture treatments and herbal support based on East Asian Medicine theory. Offering classical Five-Element treatments for all ages and gentle, non-insertion pediatric care. Cupping only appointments are also available.

I practice from a social justice lens and believe in body sovereignty. I also believe that all bodies deserve access to caring and quality healthcare. I want to engage with you collaboratively on ways to create more ease in your life, both physically and emotionally. As a person with thin, white privilege practicing East Asian Medicine: #1 this is not MY medicine. This is medicine on loan to me from people who were excluded from this land, denied votes, some interned, many ridiculed or fetishized. I owe it to them to work to dismantle systems that continue to other and oppress marginalized voices. I see it as the cost of being loaned this medicine. #2 illness is often the result of systemic oppression. I can treat the results while working to correct the source for the most effective community health.
