Dimethylpolysiloxane.

Yeah… that’s actually in the oil at Chick-fil-A.

It’s there so the oil doesn’t foam when they’re frying.

And it’s the same type of ingredient used in stuff like Silly Putty… let that sit for a second.

You can check it yourself, it’s listed in their ingredients.

Also not just them…McDonald’s and a lot of other fast food spots use it too.

They’ll say it’s safe because it’s used in tiny amounts and doesn’t really get absorbed.

But anything you’re putting in your body still has some kind of interaction, even if it passes through.

It’s there to make mass frying easier and more efficient.

Just a reminder to actually look at what’s in your food before you assume anything about it.
