A question I asked on Your Yes Filled Life podcast this week:

If you knew you could expand into your next level without losing the relationships that matter to you…

What would you do?
Start the business?
Write the book?
Travel more?
Speak your truth more openly?
I’m genuinely curious.
Comment and tell me.

You can listen on all major platforms or DM me for a link

When you know what to do… but start breaking promises to yourself… there’s something happening in your nervous system.

You tell yourself it’s that you need more accountability but that doesn’t help. Example… you tell your coach you want accountability but you don’t follow through and then feel irritated at her when she calls you out, and promise you’ll get to it next week. OR

You tell yourself you’re making just this one exception where you put someone’s needs in front of your own… example… the phone call that never asks you about you.

You tell yourself “she’s going through something right now, she needs me” so you keep showing up for her when your own family doesn’t expect that much of you.

sound familiar?

Your next step is to go subscribe to Your Yes Filled Life podcast and listen. We’re talking all about this lately… identity shifts, identity gaps, relationships, and how to navigate.

Brilliant, talented empathic women sometimes make themselves responsible for how other people feel…

So you…

🐸 don’t want to shine too brightly because people might feel bad

🐸 don’t want to set the boundary in case it hurts them

🐸 hold yourself back because if it all works… the relationship would change

That’s the conversation we’re having on Your Yes Filled Life podcast. It’s available on all major platforms. DM me. “responsible” and I’ll send you a link to the latest episode.

Many confident women still make themselves smaller in conversations … and they don’t even realize it.

The women I work with don’t struggle with confidence.

They struggle with something much more subtle.

Moments where their internal clarity is already there…

but the relationships around them haven’t caught up yet.

You’re in a conversation and you know exactly what you think.

You feel the shift inside yourself.

And then something strange happens.

You suddenly become aware of the room.

How it might land.
How the dynamic might change.
Whether it will make things awkward.

So you soften it.

Not because you doubt yourself.

Because you can feel the relational tension that change creates.

This is one of the most common moments in identity evolution.

And it’s exactly what we’re exploring in my upcoming masterclass:

How to Stop Apologizing for Your Next Level

We’ll talk about how to navigate these moments without shrinking, performing, or pretending you haven’t evolved.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to have you join us.

You leave the retreat or certification feeling clear.

Excited.
Confident.
Ready to do the thing.

Then you get home… and something subtle happens.

You start wondering:

Can I actually keep this going?

Will my relationships change if I do? And then you start to feel confused. And you act a little like a turtle who has stuck her head out too far and you pull back.

This moment is incredibly common.

It’s exactly what I’m talking about in my upcoming masterclass:

When You Know Exactly What To Do… But Something Still Stops You

If you think everything you do has to be perfect before you can share it…

You won’t share.

Example? The masterclass I shared yesterday. It didn’t land. No sign ups after 24 hours.

I’m changing the name.
And giving myself permission to learn as I go.

Turns out… the next level requires letting go of perfectionism.

it’s one of the ways we subtly keep ourselves from taking the actions that we want to take. If this resonates with you, you’re gonna want to be at this master class, which is now called “ When you know exactly what to do… But something still stops you”

You are making exceptions you don’t realize in certain relationships. And it’s costing you time, energy and bandwidth.

Nothing has gone wrong here. As someone with deep empathy and compassion, it’s important to you to show up for people in your life. It’s how you want to be.

But the truth is… You’re still putting certain people in situations in front of your own well-being.

This week on Your Yes Filled Life podcast, I’m breaking down why this happens. It’s top 5% worldwide and available on all major platforms.

If that hits and you want to go deeper, you will love my free masterclass, “stop apologizing for your next level”. DM me “next level” and I’ll send you the link.

Some of the most important leadership shifts happen quietly. Not a new title or role. It’s not a visible change at first.

You don’t announce the shift. You just start noticing things you didn’t see before.

Conversations that leave you drained. Responsibilities you accepted years ago that suddenly feel heavier and misaligned.

The way you automatically take responsibility for all the emotions in the room. The way you take it upon yourself to make sure everyone is regulated.

For people who feel things deeply, this awareness can feel confusing at first. It’s hard to describe. And it can feel very lonely. Because nothing about your life has changed yet.

But something about you has.

Your identity is evolving.

And when that happens, the way you lead has to evolve too.

You become clearer about what is actually yours to carry. You understand where your zone of genius is and you want to do more work there. You feel the cost of conversations that used to feel fine. You feel it when someone wants you to be responsible for their emotional wellbeing without taking responsbility for themselves. Youv’e become SO self led that this feels especially irritating. And you just can’t do it anymore. You don’t want to blow it all up. but you know you can’t keep doing things the way you’ve done it.

You find yourself gravitating to new higher vibe conversations, new experiences, and new opportunities. You find yourself more self-led. More in tune with what lights YOU up and how you can best serve others. You trust your intuition more.

If you’ve been feeling this shift lately, you’re not imagining it.

You’re becoming more conscious about the way you lead.

There’s a strange phase of growth almost no one talks about.

It’s when you’ve changed internally… but your life hasn’t caught up yet.

You think differently.

Your standards are higher.

Things that used to feel normal suddenly feel heavy.

But the same expectations are still there.

The same responsibilities.
The same people needing things from you.

If you’re someone who feels things deeply, this phase can feel especially confusing.

Because you’re still functioning.

Still leading.

Still showing up.

But internally you can tell something is different.

That moment isn’t a problem.

It’s a signal.

Your identity has shifted.

Your life just hasn’t caught up yet.
