We are a comprehensive home caregiving agency offering services ranging from companionship and light housekeeping to medically complex caregiving and nursing needs. Home Matters Caregiving was founded in 2007 by Christina Foutch, OTR, who envisioned a higher level of home care with greater clinical expertise and support for seniors. Partnering with her husband, Clay Foutch, they’ve built a clinical team of Registered Nurse’s, Healthcare Professionals, and an Administrator who all support their caregivers in order to fulfill the company’s mission. It’s a hands-on approach that has earned Home Matters Caregiving the reputation as a top senior care provider in the greater Portland area.

♿ This special evening brought our community together around a powerful mission, providing free durable medical equipment to neighbors who need it most. From wheelchairs and walkers to shower chairs and hospital beds, A Caring Closet ensures that no one has to go without the equipment that helps them live safely and independently.

🏡 The event was the perfect blend of fun and purpose, great conversations, generous hearts, and a shared commitment to serving seniors and individuals with mobility challenges right here in our community.

💝 What a beautiful day for Visits & Valentines! 💝

Last week, we had the privilege of bringing smiles, companionship, and handmade valentines to seniors at West Hills Health & Rehabilitation, PACE Cully, and Beaverton Post Acute. Seeing the joy on their faces reminded us why we do this work—because no one should feel alone, especially on a day meant for celebrating love and connection.

Last week I was able to be in the field with the our two teams in the Phoenix market, East Valley and North Scottsdale. We spent our time sharing our vision of home care with skilled nursing facilities like Sante of Mesa, Hospice of the Valley and the Disabled American Veterans office. I couldn't be more excited about the nurse guided care that's leveraging technology to improve care outcomes and what it means for this community of aging adults.

💕 Being a great caregiver is about more than completing activities of daily living. It’s about bringing joy into someone’s life and helping them feel seen, valued, and not alone.

Nobody embodies that better than Susanne.

✨ When Susanne joined our agency nearly eight years ago, she brought with her deep personal experience. She had cared for her husband while he was living with dementia, and after he passed away, she knew she still had more to give. During her interview, she said something we will never forget: “I know I have more to give.”

And she truly has.

🏡 Over the years, Susanne has supported countless clients, and time and again we hear the same thing. She goes above and beyond. Her compassion, patience, and steady presence make a real difference in the lives of those she cares for.

🎂 Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate Susanne, who turned 80 this year. When we asked if she was thinking about retiring anytime soon, her response was simple and sincere. Caring for others gives her purpose, and as long as she has more left to give, she wants to keep caregiving.

🤟 We are incredibly grateful to have Susanne on our care team. She is one of a kind, and a powerful example of what caregiving is truly about.

🎗️Today, we stand together to raise awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of compassionate support for those affected.

Cancer impacts millions of individuals and families worldwide—especially older adults. While not all cancers can be prevented, healthy lifestyle choices, regular screenings, and early intervention can make a meaningful difference.

🏡 At Home Matters, we believe no one should face cancer alone. Our caregivers provide support with daily activities, companionship, transportation to appointments, and peace of mind—so clients and families can focus on what matters most: care, comfort, and connection.

❤️ Today, we honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and support everyone currently walking this journey.
