Most women in perimenopause do NOT need more discipline.

And honestly?
When I look at what a woman is currently experiencing, I can usually identify the 3–5 things keeping her body stuck almost immediately.

Not just physically…
but emotionally too.

Because most women are trying to “fix” symptoms without understanding what their body is actually trying to communicate.

If I could go back, there are a few things I would NEVER do again trying to lose weight during perimenopause.

❌ punish my body with more cardio
❌ skip meals trying to “be good”
❌ obsess over every calorie
❌ ignore my exhaustion and keep pushing anyway
❌ treat my body like the enemy every single day

Because honestly?

The harder I forced my body during perimenopause…

the harder my body pushed back.

And I know so many women are stuck in this exact cycle right now.

I wish more women understood this before spending YEARS blaming themselves.

The more you force your body during perimenopause…

the more your body pushes back.

And honestly?
That realization changes everything.

Because so many women are still trying to use the same methods that worked at 25 while their nervous systems are completely overloaded underneath the surface.

For the longest time, I thought the number itself was the goal.

110.

That number meant:
confidence.
energy.
feeling sexy.
feeling comfortable in my body.
feeling like ME.

And honestly? I used to think if I could just force my way back there hard enough, everything would finally feel okay again.

But here’s what I eventually realized during perimenopause:

Your body isn’t ignoring your workouts.
Your body is overwhelmed.

You keep trying to force your way back into the body you had at 32 while your nervous system is running like a damn fire alarm 24/7.

❌ No sleep.
❌ High stress.
❌ Negative self talk.
❌ Go go go energy.

❌ Wine to calm down.
❌ Coffee to survive the next morning.

Then you wonder why your body won’t respond.

I ALMOST WENT THERE THIS WEEK 🩷

That headspace of…
“okay just be more consistent”.

Just tighten things up
Follow through better
Do what you already know works

And on the surface… that sounds right.
Like that’s what we’ve ALWAYS been told.

But this is the exact loop I see women stuck in:

They try
They fall off
They reset
They start over

And every single time they think “this time will be different”.

But nothing actually changes.
Because the problem isn’t consistency.

It’s that you’re trying to apply the same approach
to a body that DOES NOT respond the same anymore.

So now you’re putting in more effort:

Tracking more
Tightening more
Trying harder
And getting… nowhere

Start here:

Pay attention to how your body actually feels at night.

Are you wired?
Restless?
