Now Hiring: Mental Health / Substance Abuse Counselor
Beckley, WV

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health/Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Beckley! If you have a passion for helping individuals overcome behavioral health and substance use challenges, we would love to connect with you.

This role plays a vital part in providing therapeutic support, guidance, and evidence-based treatment to individuals on their recovery journey.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Perform diagnostic evaluations and track treatment progress
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and healthcare professionals
• Facilitate group therapy to promote peer support
• Educate clients and families on recovery and available resources
• Adjust treatment plans based on client progress

✅ Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and/or Master’s Degree
• Experience in case management (hospital or behavioral health setting preferred)
• Knowledge of psychotherapy techniques related to addiction treatment
• Strong diagnostic and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
• Dedication to continued professional development

Licensed Professional Counselor
National Certified Addiction Counselor II
Master Addiction Counselor
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with Alcohol and Drug Counselor Credential

Applicants may also be one of the following, but will require supervision.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services without Alcohol and Drug Counselor Credential

• Master’s Degree, includes Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Graduate Social Worker

What we'll expect

Practitioner with strong diagnostic and clinical writing skills.
Strong communication and listening skills to effectively treat clients.
Collaborate with support team and staff
Ability to perform individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, group therapy and other therapy within the scope of practice
Passion for a positive approach toward client care and commitment.
