Toney, Eleanora Marie (Huebner)
March 26, 1951-December 31, 2024

On December 31, 2024, Eleanora Marie Toney of Reidsville, NC passed away at the age of 73 years. She is survived by her son Jason Toney; grandchildren: Liliana, Ariana and Lukas; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald; brother, Harry; and her parents: Karl and Marie Huebner.

Eleanora loved her cross-stitch and gave away numerous pieces she made over the years to family and friends that will forever be cherished. She will always be known for the cards she sent and, until her illness, she never missed a birthday or other special occasion. Eleanora loved and was a great supporter of her son Jason, being a band mom, going to games, picking up uniforms, and participating and supporting every endeavor he chose to follow.

Eleanora will be laid to rest with a graveside memorial service at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, WV on January 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Leaf Center in Reidsville, NC for their care. You made it possible for Eleanora to maintain her independence and remain in her home for longer than we expected. Your patience and compassion exceeded all expectations, and she loved her time with you. Also, a special thank you to Brookdale Senior Living Center in Danville, VA for their care this past year when Eleanora was no longer independent. We will forever be grateful that you made her a part of your “staff” and treated her compassionately with her fading memory.

Fred Baur had the ingenious idea to stack Pringles. He came up with the idea while working as a Food Storage Technician. Before his passing, he requested his ashes be stored inside a Pringles can when it came time. In 2008, his family split his remains between a traditional urn and the late inventor's greatest creation.
