Not everything about doula work is visible. Still, it continues.

As I make mental and physical preparations to go on-call for excited, expecting parents, I remembered that I hadn’t posted on here in a while. Even though that is unfavorable for the algorithm, it’s okay. This season has been a lot about real world connections and behind the scene work—both in my doula work and family.

I’m still here—quietly, peacefully, and going into 2026 feeling whole and blessed. 🤍

At Christmas, I’m reminded why birth work feels so sacred.
This season is about hope and trusting that something extraordinary is unfolding, even when it feels uncertain or uncomfortable. Birth asks the same of us.

Like Christmas, birth invites us to slow down, create warmth and safety, and honor the unseen work happening beneath the surface. The long nights. The quiet strength. The deep love that exists before you ever meet the one you’re waiting for.

The Christmas story itself is a birth story—one of courage, resilience, and community. A reminder that birth doesn’t need perfection to be powerful.
