A Story of True Christmas Spirit 🎄🎁

Ella Taylor is a freshman at TC Jr/Sr High School. She plays volleyball, babysits on the side, and has a heart far bigger than her years.

About a month ago, Ella’s mom reached out to the Nursing Home Activities Department and shared that Ella planned to spend all of the money she earned babysitting this year to buy Christmas gifts for the residents at our local community nursing home. She simply wanted to make sure each resident felt remembered and cared about. A small list of likes and needs was put together and given to her mom.

Ella went shopping and bought what she could afford. Not knowing that her mom had quietly shared Ella’s story on social media. What happened next was incredible. Our community showed up in the most amazing way with donations and support to help Ella fulfill her mission.

Tonight, Ella and her mom delivered everything to the nursing home just in time for Christmas!
Ella also personally visited each resident, giving them a Christmas card and a candy cane.

She was nervous. She cried the whole way home.
She realized that not everyone has someone who comes to visit them, and that broke her heart. The gratitude and appreciation from the residents meant everything to her and truly made her night.

Ella said she wanted to donate to the nursing home so the residents would know they are thought of and cared about. She wanted to make sure they had a wonderful Christmas.

She is constantly thinking of others and rarely spends money on herself. She shared that while it’s nice to receive, giving feels so much better — it makes her feel more complete.

We are beyond proud of her
And she made it clear — if there are ever opportunities to volunteer, she would absolutely love to help again.

Today was such a busy and beautiful day at Bedford Springs!

This morning, we were blessed by the preschool students from BES, who filled our hearts with joy as they sang some truly awesome Christmas songs. 🎄

Later, we had an amazing visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus! Each resident was blessed with wonderful gifts, made possible by our incredible staff and some truly amazing community members.

We ended the night with “Jesus Groupies” spreading Christmas cheer as they caroled throughout the halls, bringing smiles and joy to everyone.

A huge thank you to all who helped make this day such a success. It truly takes a village and we are so thankful to have such an amazing one here at Bedford Springs! ❤️

It is with great pride that we announce that Bedford Springs Health and Rehabilitation has been awarded KCARE's "The Best of Kentucky" for nursing and rehabilitation for 2025! This is awarded to long term care facilities which exemplify loving and compassionate care to their residents, and their dedication to continue to provide quality patient care and ensure resident well-being. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our Bedford Springs Team and our commitment to our resident's and their families.

Keeping our Thanksgiving traditions going!

Today the residents played a silly round of Pin the Cool Whip on the Pumpkin Pie — lots of laughs, some very creative “aiming”!

After the game, everyone enjoyed real pumpkin pie topped with Cool Whip as a sweet afternoon treat. A simple, fun way to celebrate the season!

Feeling especially thankful today for the local pastors who take the time to come and pour into the hearts of our residents here at Bedford Springs Nursing Home.

The residents asked for a preacher — and boy oh boy did God answer their prayers. The joy, peace, and comfort that fills the room is something truly special.

It’s a beautiful reminder that where two or more gather, there is church.

Thank you to those who show up, share love, and bring hope. Your presence makes a difference more than you know.

Trick-or-Treat Fun at Bedford Springs!

We had such a spooktacular time today as the preschoolers from BES stopped by for some Halloween fun! The little ghosts, superheroes, and princesses made their way through the halls, trick-or-treating from door to door — and our residents absolutely loved passing out candy and seeing all the adorable costumes.🎃👻🍬🍭🍫

What a great way to kick off fall! Our resident hay ride was such a blast — huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it a fun day! A special shoutout to Rowlett’s Creamery for setting up and serving up some amazing ice cream!

A huge THANK YOU to the Trimble County Klunkers Tractor Club for bringing their beautiful tractors out both on Saturday and Sunday for our residents to enjoy! Our folks had such a great time seeing them!!

What a perfect bonus—the amazing weather this weekend made it even better for everyone to be outside soaking up the sunshine. ☀️

We’re so grateful for special moments like these that bring joy to our residents!
