Birthdays were celebrated with room to room “singing telegrams” and delicious red velvet cupcakes… Friends and neighbors relaxed in the early evening air on our back patio… And one of our talented residents tickled the ivories to the delight of those still enjoying their meals in the dining room. "A Walk in Their Shoes" dementia programs use specially designed equipment to help caregivers and others experience the cognitive and sensory challenges of dementia, such as confusion, agitation, and distorted vision. This leads to greater empathy and improved caregiving approaches. The Residence at Bedford offers this program regularly to residents, family members, Team Leaders, Associates, and others in our local community.
