Dr. Alkhersam is board-certified in adult neurology, clinical neurophysiology and sleep medicine. His experience includes three years at Henry Ford Electrodiagnostic Laboratory, which is one of the busiest EMG labs in the nation. He also has several years of experience using Botox injections for neurological disorders and headache management. Dr. Alkhersam is a fellow of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He particularly enjoys treating patients with sleep disorders and interpreting sleep studies.
Dr. Hurlbut received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and then completed his internship and residency in neurology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. While in Kentucky he served as Chief Resident of Neurology and was awarded a fellowship in Neuro-diagnostics with emphasis on EEG, EMG/NCV and seizure monitoring.Dr. Hurlbut returned to Texas and served as the Director of Neurology and of Neurodiagnostic services at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas from 1995-2003. He enjoys treating multiple sclerosis, seizures and dementia.
Valery Lipenko, M.D., received his medical training in Odessa, Ukraine, where he completed medical school and neurology residency. In the United States, he participated in neurophysiology research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Lipenko has additional training and expertise in botulinum toxin treatments, cervical dystonia, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, and spasticity after stroke, as well as Botox® for chronic migraines and other pain syndromes. His special interests include diagnosis and management of epileptic syndromes, headaches and neuropathy.
