Last Friday, we had the great honor and privilege of hosting nearly 100 friends and family members of our sweet residents for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Thanksgiving is a time to gather, to reflect on our blessings, and to celebrate the people who fill our lives with love—and that spirit was felt in every corner of our community.

It was truly a gift to see all the smiles, to hear the laughter, and to witness the conversations and memories being made. Moments like these remind us of how special it is to come together and share in the joy of family, friendship, and gratitude.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible dietary team for creating such a beautiful and delicious spread of homemade dishes. The time, care, and love you pour into your cooking are evident in every bite, and we are so grateful for all you do to make occasions like this unforgettable. 🧡🍂🦃

We’re spreading Christmas cheer a little early this year and would love for our residents and their families to join us! ❤️

Cardinal Senior Living will be participating in the Bedford Christmas Parade on December 6th, and this is sure to be a fun and exciting time as we kick off the beautiful season of Christmas together. 🎅🤶

Residents and family members are welcome to ride along on our festive parade float or in the Cardinal bus — whichever is most comfortable! 🚍🎁

🦃🍁 Our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is Almost Here! 🍁🦃

We’re so excited to welcome all of our residents’ families to join us for our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner — it’s right around the corner! 💛

This year’s feast is a special meal created by our very own Chef Rebecca, featuring all your Thanksgiving favorites — from roast turkey and baked ham to macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, and homemade pies! 🥧🍗

You can see the full menu in the photo below, and trust us — it’s going to be a feast to remember!

Before our meal, we’ll enjoy special entertainment by Mr. Ray VanWagner, bringing music, fun, and festive cheer to our celebration. 🎶✨ Be sure to come early and enjoy the entertainment.

It’s sure to be a wonderful afternoon filled with family, friendship, and gratitude as we celebrate all the things we’re thankful for this year. ❤️

🌳✨ A Big Thank You to the Bedford Master Gardeners! ✨🌳

We were so excited to welcome the Bedford Master Gardeners to Cardinal Senior Living! They joined our residents for a fun and educational afternoon, teaching us all about the many different types of oak trees and the unique acorns they produce.

Our residents had such a wonderful time learning and creating beautiful tree crafts to celebrate the season. 🍂💚

Thank you to the Master Gardeners for sharing your knowledge, kindness, and creativity with us — we can’t wait to have you back again soon! 🌿

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage, dedication, and love of freedom.

Here at Cardinal Senior Living, nestled in the heart of Bedford, Virginia—home of the National D-Day Memorial—we are reminded every day of the incredible sacrifices made by so many from our small town but also across the nation. So many sons and daughters gave everything to protect the freedoms we cherish, and their legacy continues to inspire us.

To all veterans, both near and far—thank you. Your service, your courage, and your sacrifices will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

Today we were truly blessed to witness a beautiful Veteran Pinning Service hosted by Amedisys Hospice in honor of the brave men and women who have served our country. ❤️

We are so thankful for the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible sacrifices made by our veterans—those who gave so much so that we can live in freedom today. Their courage, dedication, and love for our nation will never be forgotten.

A special thank you to our wonderful partners at Amedisys Hospice for stepping up to honor those we love and care for here in our community. Your compassion and commitment mean so much to our residents and staff alike.

Let us never forget that freedom isn’t free—and today, we honor those who made it possible. 🇺🇸💙

🎃👻 Although our Halloween outing was rained out last week, the spooky fun wasn’t lost! A huge THANK YOU to Mark and Carol Eagon for saving the day (or should we say, night!) with their amazing Halloween display! 🕸️✨

Our residents were absolutely thrilled to take a drive by their beautifully decorated home — every light, pumpkin, and ghost was perfectly placed to bring all the Halloween magic to life! 🧙‍♀️🦇

And as if that wasn’t enough, Mark and Carol went above and beyond by making special treat bags for each of our residents. 🍬❤️
