✨🍂 Hello Cardinal Senior Living Families & Friends! 🍂✨

We are so excited to share our September calendar with you, and it is packed with fun, laughter, and meaningful moments! This month is extra special because we will be celebrating National Assisted Living Week, September 9th–13th. 💙

Our facility theme this year is “Travel Abroad" as the National theme is "Ageless Adventures” 🌍✈️ — and we can’t wait to take our residents (and YOU!) on a journey around the world through themed activities, delicious foods, and joyful celebrations. We will be visiting different country each day!!

We warmly invite families to join us during this exciting week of events. 💕 Whether it’s one activity or a few, we encourage you to pick something that sparks your interest and come make memories with your loved one. Every smile, every laugh, and every shared experience makes our community even more special.

🇺🇸✨ What a Labor Day celebration! ✨🇺🇸
Today we gathered for our resident Labor Day cookout, and it was truly a day to remember. The menu was as good as it gets – fresh cooked green beans, homemade potato salad, homemade coleslaw, warm rolls, and of course, golden fried chicken.
Adding to the fun, we had the amazing M&M Tunes keeping the energy high and the smiles wide! 🎶💃🕺
The best part of the day was seeing our residents and families laughing, sharing stories, and making precious memories together. ❤️ Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us – our hearts are full!

Happy National Senior Citizens Day! 🌟

Each year on August 21st, we pause to honor and celebrate the incredible contributions of our senior citizens. This day is all about recognizing the wisdom, experience, and lasting impact they’ve made in our community and society as a whole. It’s also a reminder to continue supporting seniors in living independently, joyfully, and to the fullest. 💙

We marked the occasion with a Family Bingo Night, and what a night it was! 🎉 Our residents and their families enjoyed laughter, pizza, prizes, and plenty of fun together. Moments like these truly highlight the importance of connection and celebration.

A huge thank you to Andrew Bell with Westminster at Home for his generous support of this event—we couldn’t have done it without you! 🙌

Today we were treated to a burst of sunshine—both in flowers and in spirit—thanks to the Bedford Master Gardeners! 🌞💛 They joined us for a fun and exciting sunflower activity, filling our day with color, laughter, and a whole lot of joy.

We are truly blessed to have such strong, caring community support here at Cardinal Senior Living. 💖 Our residents love connecting with friends who share their time, talents, and warm hearts, and today was a perfect reminder of how lucky we are to call this place home.

🎉🎂 Yesterday we had the JOY of celebrating our sweet Ms. Rachel’s 85th birthday surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and love! 💛

If you’ve ever visited our community, you’ve likely been greeted by her radiant smile—and maybe even a sweet song or two. 🎶 To know Rachel is to love her, and we are so blessed to have her in our Cardinal family.

🚤☀️ What a PERFECT day at Smith Mountain Lake! 🌊🌤️

We had an absolute blast cruising the beautiful waters on a pontoon boat, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the smoothest ride you could ask for. The weather was picture perfect and the lake was pure serenity!

A huge shoutout to Eric, our awesome captain for the day – thank you for guiding us with such ease and making the trip extra special! 🙌

And a massive THANK YOU to Mr. Jeff Prowse, the owner of Mitchell's Point Marina , for being such a gracious host! He has such a fabulous staff and provided a meal we won’t soon forget. Your hospitality made the whole experience unforgettable!

Great friends, perfect weather, delicious food, and lake vibes – what more could we ask for? 💙

🌟 A Sweet Surprise for Our Incredible Staff! 🍩💖

We can’t thank our dedicated, hard-working, and loving staff enough for all they do each and every day. Their compassion and commitment to our residents never goes unnoticed, and today we wanted to show just a little bit of our appreciation!

With the help of local favorite Twisted Sister Homemade Donuts, we treated our amazing team to some seriously sweet treats! 😋🍩

But the fun didn’t stop there — our residents joined in on the donut delight too! There were smiles, laughs, and lots of sprinkles to go around. 🍬😁

Thank you to our entire team for being the heart of our community. And a big shoutout to Twisted Sister for helping us make this day extra special!
