Thank you to One Louisville for the kind words and support as we open our Crestwood Counseling Center, our third location dedicated to grief support, healing, and hope.

This growth reflects something deeper than expansion. It reflects the need, the trust, and the courage of those who walk through our doors. We’re grateful to stand alongside partners who believe in this work and help make it possible! 🦋

Camberwell is in full bloom just in time for Easter Sunday 🌿🌸

Everything is starting to bloom, and we’re opening the grounds to anyone who may not have family plans. Join us Sunday at 5:30pm for a peaceful evening together! We’ll have food to share, and if the weather allows, an Easter egg hunt as well.

All are welcome 🤍

On this Good Friday, we hold space for love that never leaves us.

This simple, everyday, message full of care is now something we hold onto. A reminder of the bond between Kaytryn and her mom, Kelly. A reminder that love endures, even through unimaginable loss.

In partnership with Mark, Kelly went on to found Camberwell Grief Sanctuary, rooted in Kaytryn’s deep love for nature and created to offer others a place to grieve, to heal, and to find hope and grace.

Today, we honor that love. Quiet, constant, and still very much alive. 🌿

Please share this post if you or a loved one have found healing at the Sanctuary. It helps us reach those who need community, connection, and hope.

A meaningful milestone for Camberwell 🤍 We were honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Camberwell Counseling Center, a space created with deep intention to support individuals and families navigating grief, healing, and life’s most tender seasons.

Located at 7207 Kavanaugh Rd. in Crestwood, Kentucky, this new center reflects our continued commitment to providing compassionate care, connection, and a place where no one has to walk through grief alone.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible and to the community that continues to surround Camberwell with such generosity and support. We are grateful to open our doors and begin this next chapter together.

A full and meaningful weekend at the Sanctuary 🌿

We were so grateful to be supported by the Men’s Ministry from Northeast Church, who generously gave their time to help with a spring clean-up.

At the same time, on the other side of the Sanctuary, we held a beautiful retreat day filled with meditative yoga, time outdoors, and space to slow down and reconnect.

So much care, presence, and quiet transformation happening all at once, this is what community looks like.

Hope is blooming at Camberwell 🌼

In quiet moments, in shared stories, in the warmth of being understood, something begins to grow. Grief may still be present, but so is connection, so is care, so is the gentle return of light.

Meet Lily 🤍

Lily is a Camberwell intern, providing individual therapy and co-facilitating our Resources for Recovery group on Wednesday evenings alongside Nick. She is currently completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky and will graduate in May, after which she plans to pursue clinical licensure.

Lily primarily supports individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use, drawing from a client-centered approach that honors each person’s pace and lived experience. She finds deep meaning in witnessing clients grow into new chapters and considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families in seasons of healing.

Outside of Camberwell, Lily enjoys spending time with her dog, being outdoors, and moving her body exercising, going for a walk, and dancing.

Yesterday at the Sanctuary, we gathered for a Retreat Day filled with connection, reflection, and the quiet comfort of being together 🌿 With the first signs of spring around us, grievers spent time outdoors, soaking in the sunshine and finding moments of peace alongside one another.

If you’re looking for continued support, we invite you to join us for our upcoming Resources in Recovery Retreat on March 28th.

Meet Maria 🤍

Maria serves as a therapist and MSW student, bringing decades of mental health experience to her work in grief support. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1992 and has worked in the mental health field since 1990 across inpatient hospitals, residential treatment programs, crisis evaluation, case management, and community-based settings. She is currently completing her Master of Social Work with a clinical focus.

Maria has been part of Camberwell since the very beginning, helping shape and sustain our grief support offerings from the earliest days. She facilitates a General Loss Support Group at Northeast Christian Church and has served for four years as both a grief group facilitator and one-to-one grief mentor. Her steady presence and longstanding commitment have helped build the foundation of compassionate care that defines Camberwell today.

She finds deep meaning in walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate profound loss, big emotions, and life transitions—including supporting young adults through the college years.

Outside of her work, Maria enjoys reading, creating, tending pollinator plants, spending time in nature, supporting wildlife, and snuggling with her two chihuahuas.
