We’re thrilled to share that Beyond Grief, written by our very own group facilitator, Mary Jean, is featured in the latest issue of UK Alumni Association digital magazine.

Mary Jean’s thoughtful, compassionate approach to grief work shines through every page of her book, and we’re so grateful to have her guiding hearts here at Camberwell. Read the feature and pick up a copy of Beyond Grief, it is a helpful resource no matter where you are in your grief journey!

If giving financially isn’t possible this season, there are still many meaningful ways to support Camberwell. Every gesture helps us continue offering comfort, connection, and hope to those who are grieving.

Here are a few ways you can make an impact:

Volunteer Your Time – Help with events, mailings, or projects at the Sanctuary.

Share Our Mission – Like, comment, or share our posts to help others discover Camberwell and the support we offer.

Attend an Event – Join us for gatherings like Night of Hope & Remembering or Forever Cherished. Your presence means more than you know.

Donate Supplies – Art materials, snacks, or paper goods help us keep our space warm and welcoming.

Invite a Friend – If someone in your life is grieving, let them know they don’t have to walk alone.

Your support, no matter how it’s given, helps keep hope alive!

The holiday season can be an especially tender time for those grieving. Camberwell Grief Sanctuary will be part of this year’s Community Candlelight Service, sharing a short message of hope and ways to navigate grief during the holidays.

We’ll also have an area where you can learn more about the Sanctuary, upcoming programs, and how nature-based healing can support you or a loved one through loss. All are welcome to this meaningful evening of remembrance, reflection, and connection.

If your family is walking through grief, we’d love to have you here 💕 or forward this to someone who might need it.

Our hearts ache for the families, friends, and first responders affected by the tragic plane crash near the Louisville airport. This kind of sudden loss ripples through our entire community, and Camberwell Grief Sanctuary is committed to walking beside those impacted during this painful time.

In partnership with the Lesley and Rhyan Prather Foundation Corporation, Camberwell is offering free individual grief therapy to anyone affected by this tragedy. Together, we want to ensure that those experiencing loss have access to care, compassion, and professional support in the aftermath of trauma.

Camberwell’s licensed therapists and grief counselors provide personalized, one-on-one sessions to help individuals process grief and begin to heal at their own pace. Our team is here to offer understanding, connection, and the tools needed to navigate the difficult days ahead.

If you or someone you know has been impacted, please reach out for support at 502-888-6037 or email Mark@camberwell.org to connect with a therapist at no cost.

You are not alone, Camberwell is here to help Louisville heal, together.
