✨ Meet Our Intern, Abby! ✨
After discovering a love for psychology in high school, Abby went on to earn her Bachelor’s in Psychology at Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Louisville. She spent two years as an academic advisor at U of L, followed by 12 years as a school counselor at Assumption High School, experiences that deepened her passion for working with teens, young adults, and families from all walks of life.
Her journey led her back to graduate school to pursue licensure as a therapist, and she began her clinical work with Avenues Unlimited last year. Now, we’re thrilled to welcome Abby to Camberwell as she completes her internship hours! Her therapy style is person-centered, rooted in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the key to meaningful change. Abby strives to create a space where clients feel accepted, respected, and seen and she brings warmth, humor, and even a little fun to the process.
Outside of work, Abby loves spending time with her little ones, reading, yoga, being outdoors, singing along to Taylor Swift, and dancing (for the joy of it, not the skill 😉).
