Today our LifeStories Neighborhood enjoyed a Blue Happy Hour filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments. From blue-themed treats and drinks to great music and even better company, it was a beautiful time spent together. 💙

We rang in the New Year today with a game of ‘candy grab’ that had everyone laughing and guessing! Our activities team rolled the dice, and depending on the number, residents got to take, give back, or swap their bags of candy.

There were surprises, plenty of friendly trades, a little suspense with every roll, and lots of smiles all around. What a fun (and delicious!) way to kick off 2026 with our amazing residents! 🥳✨

Here’s to a year full of joy, laughter, and sweet moments ahead! 🍭💙

Our residents truly had the most magical Christmas morning. Every year, our incredible Activities Team sets up a special tree filled with a gift tag for every single resident, and each tag is so much more than just a name.

Using each resident’s Life Story, our team learns their favorite things (and even their least favorite 😉) and carefully selects surprise gifts just for them. Watching the joy, the laughter, the happy tears, and the pure excitement as gifts were opened was absolutely priceless.

Moments like these are what Christmas is all about… thoughtfulness, love, and making every person feel truly seen and celebrated. ❤️
Huge shoutout to our Activities Team for putting so much heart into making this tradition so special year after year. 🎁🎄

’Twas two nights before Christmas,
in the Colonial Courtyard van,
The residents were buckled,
thinking, “Oh boy… what’s the plan?”

Chick-fil-A bags were rustling,
fries warm on every lap,
Sauce packets everywhere…
polynesian, ranch, and snap!

We sat in a long line,
as the van crept slow like a snail,
Waiting for Lights on the Lake
at good ol’ Lakemont Park’s trail.

The headlights were glowing,
the carols were loud,
Someone asked, “Are we there yet?”
about six times… at least… proud.

At last came the lights
oh sparkle! oh glow!
With “oohs” and “aahs”
and a few “Whoa, that’s bright!” thrown in, you know.

Then off to see Santa,
the man dressed in red,
Who heard lots of wishes
(and one for more fries, it was said).

We finished the night
with the trains chug-chug-chugging along,
Tiny towns, tiny whistles,
and someone softly humming a song.

So remember this tale
of laughter and cheer,
Of snacks, lights, and memories
that only come once a year.

And we heard from the back of the van,
as it rolled out of sight…
“Best night ever!”

We want to send the biggest thank you to Paige, her sons Jack and Chase, and Paige’s mom Lori for the incredible kindness they shared with our residents today. From hand-making gift bags, to delivering them personally, to spreading countless smiles, your generosity truly meant the world to us.

Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such an amazing, caring community. Thank you for making today extra special for our residents… your hearts (and smiles!) did not go unnoticed 🥰✨

🚐✨ Another night out in the van and we understood the assignment.

We rolled out with dinner at Texas Roadhouse because nothing fuels holiday adventures like warm rolls, cinnamon butter, and a little yee-haw energy 🥖🤠 Then it was off to catch a twinkly sneak peek of Lights on the Lake at Lakemont Park, where the oohs, ahhs, and “wow look at THAT one” were in full effect ✨👀

Naturally, we had to make a quick stop to visit the most booked and busiest man of the season… Santa himself 🎅📸 (He confirmed everyone was still on the nice list… for now).

And because you cannot drive through Bedford without making it official, we wrapped up the night at the Bedford Fairgrounds to see our friends from The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce (PA) and SAC Energy at the Bedford Holiday Nights of Lights 🎄💡

Good food. Bright lights. Big laughs. Full hearts.
This van stays BUSY and festive 🎄😂

Another fun night in the books! 🎄✨

We kicked things off at Texas Roadhouse, where this crew discovered a very serious new passion for fried pickles (looking at you, Pat… we may need to stage an intervention 🥒😂).

Then it was off to Lights on the Lake at Lakemont Park, where the holiday cheer was bright, the car sing-alongs were loud, and everyone suddenly became an expert light critic: “Ooo that one’s my favorite!” 🚗🎶✨

And of course, we couldn’t leave without checking out the model train display 🚂 and paying a visit to the one and only Santa 🎅 who can officially confirm this group has been mostly nice.

Good food, glowing lights, trains, Santa, and fried pickles stealing the show… now THAT’S a perfect night out. ❤️🎄

Today, the Courtyard officially declared OPEN SEASON… and let’s just say the activities crew didn’t stand a chance 😅

Our residents suited up as the hunters, and the activities team proudly volunteered as the targets for a fun, light-hearted deer hunting themed game that had everyone laughing, cheering, and plotting their next “shot.”

No staff members were harmed (only their pride 😉), but plenty of smiles were taken home. We love turning ordinary days into unforgettable moments and today proved once again that our residents have great aim and even better senses of humor.
