In 2019, I became a living liver donor for this little girl.

This photo was taken just days before transplant at Boston Children’s Hospital — with her mom by her side, and all of us hoping for a miracle.

Six years later, she is healthy, growing, and living her life. And I would make the same decision again in a heartbeat.

Being a donor changed me, but it also changed the way I practice medicine.

I know what it feels like to sit on the other side of healthcare — the fear, the waiting, the hope. That’s why I believe patients deserve a provider who knows them, has time for them, and truly cares.
