It’s been a fun and full month here at Light of Hearts Villa! 💙

Our residents kicked off the LOHV Olympics with an opening ceremony, team spirit, friendly competition, and so much laughter. From creative challenges to high-energy games, the joy was contagious... and the activity center looked amazing with vibrant country flags lining the room!

We also enjoyed a peaceful and elegant Cherry Blossom Ladies Tea! The tables were filled with beautiful blooms, sweet treats, and warm cups of cherry blossom tea - the perfect setting for conversation and connection.

So grateful for our incredible Life Enrichment team for filling our days with creativity, joy, and community. ✨

Double the celebration, double the fun! Mardi Gras + Chinese New Year at the Villa meant mask decorating, games, and delicious treats… and of course, lots of smiles.

Happy Love Day! 🩵 Recently, our residents spent time creating paper mâché hearts... each one a small reflection of the love that fills our community every day.

At Light of Hearts Villa, love looks like friendship in the dining room, creativity in the activity space, gentle care, and shared laughter down the halls.

Today we celebrate all of it. 💕

Gnome-sweet-gnome! Our residents got crafty recently and created the cutest little gnomes. A big thank-you to our amazing Life Enrichment team and volunteer Dianne for always bringing such creative, joy-filled projects to the Villa.

January Birthday Bash! ✨

Nothing brightens up a chilly January like celebrating our wonderful residents! This week we threw a festive birthday bash complete with delicious cake and entertainment from resident favorite Greg Piscura... and he did not disappoint! 🎶

So many adorable smiles, joyful moments, and happy hearts. Cheers to our January birthdays - we’re so grateful for each of you💙

Earlier this month, we gathered for one of the most meaningful traditions at Light of Hearts Villa... our annual Missioning Service. Each year, our staff come together to have their hands anointed with oil as a symbol of recommitting ourselves to our mission of Making God’s Love Visible in all that we do.

During this special service, we also present the Making God’s Love Visible Award, recognizing a team member who truly embodies compassion, humility, and service in their daily work.

This year, we were thrilled to honor Rob Walker, a longtime member of our housekeeping team. Rob receives nominations every single year... a testament to the profound impact he has on residents, families, and fellow team members.

Colleagues describe Rob as “the salt of the earth,” someone who goes above and beyond, always greets everyone with warmth, and carries out his work with such a gentle and gracious spirit. Residents adore him, families consistently send compliments, and his presence makes our Villa feel even more like home.

Rob, thank you for living our mission so beautifully. We are incredibly blessed to have you on the LOHV team and so grateful to celebrate you in this special way. 💙✨

Today, we were honored to be the location for the Celebration of Life for Daniel Pocek. Dan faithfully served the City of Bedford for 30 years, as a council member and as Mayor, guiding our community with vision, integrity, and true dedication.

Dan and his wife Christine have been longtime friends of Light of Hearts Villa, and it was a privilege to welcome their family and friends to the Villa today. Beautiful, heartfelt remarks were shared, reflecting a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to shine brightly throughout the City of Bedford.

May Dan’s memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him. 💙

Christmas at Light of Hearts Villa is always pure magic. From celebrating the birth of Jesus to sharing joy, laughter, and love with one another, this season fills our hearts in the most beautiful way. ✨

Our Resident Christmas Party was full of smiles and surprises… special visits from Santa Claus, his reindeer friends, and even the Grinch made it a day to remember!

We are so grateful for the love that surrounds our residents each and every day.
