Guardian Angel Senior Services, Inc., formerly named Guardian Angel Home Care, was founded in September of 2003 by Melanie and Daniel Lewis. Melanie’s grandmother was placed in a nursing home near the end of her life. “I have a little guilt,” Melanie said. “I really wish I could have stayed home with her and taken care of her myself.” Together, Daniel and Melanie strives to ensure that Guardian Angel Senior Services will meet the needs that other home care agencies do not. Guardian Angel Senior Services employ people with heart, patience, and understanding. We truly pride ourselves in the remarkable people that make up our staff. They are the ones responsible for creating the compassionate and caring environment that our clients receive. Employees are hired after being cleared through extensive CORI and reference checks. We ensure that these individuals share our mission and expectations of higher quality care giving.
“It’s not only the certifications we are looking for them to have, but they have to have the right personality. They have to be people who are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and go the extra mile to meet our clients’ needs,” Daniel says. Guardian Angel Senior Services creates personality profiles of our caregivers and clients in order to create the best match. The bonds formed between our clients and our employees are extraordinary— often becoming like extended family members. Melanie hopes that her grandmother realizes the inspiration that she has been: “It all does tie back into her. I would love to have a conversation with my grandmother now. I really wish our company could have provided home care services for her, so she could have enjoyed the last days of her life in the comforts of her own home. I hope she is smiling now, knowing that this has become our goal as a company— allowing seniors to stay home and comfortable with people they trust and enjoy. I think she would be very proud.”
