We take pride in the work we do here and our residents are a testament to what we do. Meet Susan Pena, a recent graduate from our rehabilitation community, who has come so far in her therapy to make it back home safely! She says "The physical therapy and occupational therapy team motivated me to get as far as I have" and that the "therapy department is awesome! And there are so many CNAs and other staff that are very helpful and caring.

Her goal in her stay here was to be able to navigate around her house by herself safely. With a lot of hard work and a team around her, she has returned home and feels comfortable in saying that she achieved her goal! We wish you the best of luck and health in your physical freedom from limited mobility!! 💪🥳

Congratulations Mary Ann Ratliff, CNA/Preceptor, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.

Mary Ann truly embodies the CARE program, and her commitment to compassion, excellence, work ethic, and unwavering dedication to both her residents and team members inspires all who know her.

Mary Ann’s career in long-term care began six years ago, starting in our culinary department. She was promoted to Assistant Culinary Manager within a couple of years before she began her current journey, stepping into her current role as a CNA in 2022. She continued to show excellence in her job performance and leadership by becoming a preceptor.

Mary Ann has distinguished herself as a vital member of our clinical team. Always willing to assist and teach others when needed, she is respected for her dedication, positivity, and humble attitude. We are fortunate to have her as part of our team, and her unselfish dedication to residents and staff is a blessing.

Before joining us, Mary Ann was a nanny working for families in Hong Kong and Malaysia. She was also a teacher’s assistant in Saudi Arabia and speaks Arabic as a second language.

Outside of work Mary Ann doesn’t slow down. She is a proud wife and mother of one son. She enjoys cooking, often bringing samples of her culinary creations to staff. She also enjoys gardening, tending to her flowers. She states, “I like taking care of people” and it shows in her work here and at home.

We had a FANG-TASTIC time at our Halloween Trunk or Treat with SO MANY AMAZING COSTUMES! We want to thank all the families who were able to make it out, because just as much as it is for your kids enjoyment, it's also something our residents LOVE to be involved with.
