About Melody Volz, FNP-C
Melody’s personal thyroid journey began as an 18-year-old freshman in college when she started having overwhelming fatigue, brain fog, and sleep disruption. After being told she was “just a tired college student”, she dug deeper into her own health and was finally diagnosed with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s. Since then, she has spent the last 17 years developing her passion for helping others that are suffering like she was and sharing with them what she’s learned about thyroid and hormone support, not only as a clinician, but also as a patient herself.
Melody’s philosophy is simple - no two patients are alike. While thyroid and adrenal hormones impact every single cell in the body and cause a myriad of symptoms if unbalanced, often patients have their own individual set of symptoms unique to them. When a person is unwell, their whole life can unravel and that affects more than just a set of labs or their symptoms, it is often the underlying core of their entire wellbeing. Melody is committed to treating her patients as individuals, not just a set of one-size-fits-all lab results and works with each one to achieve optimal hormone levels that leads to a life of overall wellness and balance.
Melody lives in Austin with her husband and 2 young daughters and enjoys being outside, running, reading, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.
