Meet Dr. Derek Moody, M.D.
📣Now serving the Beeville area as of January 23, 2026 and will be located at the Medplex in Ste A📣

Dr. Moody is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon proudly caring for Victoria and South Texas.

Dr. Moody specialized in patient-centered spine care, prioritizing non-surgical treatments and offering minimally invasive surgical options when needed. He completed his orthopedic residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and advanced spine fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital, training alongside top orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgeons.

He treats the full range of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions and is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Moody enjoys life in Victoria with his wife, Wylie, and their four daughters. He loves spending time outdoors especially fishing Port O'Conner and hunting in South Texas.

Dr. Derek George honorably retired from the U.S. Army as a Major in 2015 after a distinguished career serving as a Physical Therapist. His military journey began at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston, with additional duty assignments at Fort Campbell, Fort Sill, Fort Jackson, Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, and South Korea. His final duty station brought him back to San Antonio at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC).

Dr. George also deployed to Kuwait (2002–2003) and Iraq (2005–2006) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His service reflects commitment, sacrifice, and a deep dedication to caring for those who serve.

📣 You can be evaluated and treated by a physical therapist for 30 days without the need for a referral from your provider. Previously it was 10 business days.
📣 You can now go directly to your physical therapist instead of needing to wait to be referred
📣 Here at Beeville Physical Therapy, we will communicate with your doctor FOR YOU to ensure continuity of care and refer out if needed.
