Are you ready to finally take your fitness to the next level to boost your game!?

We play the game of golf because we are very competitive with ourselves, with others and the enjoyment of being around other like minded people.

This game is meant to be enjoyed from the time we are toddlers through our elder years but our bodies don’t always allow that to happen.

Take control and let’s work together to get your body in the best shape and watch your swing become more efficient and powerful.

How are you developing swing rotation?

Mobility only? Strength only? Power only? Combination?

My hope is that you’re developing it using all 3 training aspects.

Optimally programming for rotation within your training should seamlessly blend in and not be a completely separate session.

Understanding that within your swing, one portion moves slowly generating torque and creating stability through the body as the other portion has to effectively control and decelerate.

This over time will create an imbalance in rotation mobility and if you do not compensate for it in your program it will wreak havoc on your swing.

As a TPI Fitness and Power coach I understand the uniqueness of each individual and why programming should be as such. Don’t fall for the generic made programs, they do not cater to your individual needs.

If you hit the links without properly warming up you’re already setting your score up for failure on the first few holes.

Set yourself up for more success by increasing blood flow and activating your muscles before you hit the rang prior to your round.

Here is a super simple to not only implement but the skill level is very low so anyone can do these exercises.

Are you a big coffee drinker?

I use to be as well, meaning 3XL Dunkin coffees a day drinker.

In September of 2021 my fellow strength coach decided to stop drinking coffee and switch to green tea and I decided do it as well.

And it’s been the best decision ever for me.

- my resting heart decreased

- my mood boosted

- energy levels balanced out much better through out the day (no more crash)

- increased mental clarity

And trust the mental clarity is so much better than the jitters from coffee, especially during that morning tee off.

How many of you are guilty of always choosing the cart instead of walking?

I know I do it all the time w/my boys AND on top of the cart we all know we have a couple coolers with special drinks.

Did you know that a person (depending on genetic/health factors & terrain of the course) can burn an excess of 1500 calories & cover 3-6 miles walking their golf round!?

That’s an insane amount of calories to burn so easily during a sport you love to play with your friends.

The problem here is that instead of us being in a caloric deficit we a lot of the time either zero out or might be on the upside. Why?

From the number of mixed drinks, beers, course food and hole 19 fun time. Why do that to ourselves?

I know I’m personally going to make a point to walk more rounds this year as I definitely choose my health first over convenience. I have 3 daughter, a wife and 2 dogs and they need me to be as healthy and strong as possible for many years to come.

We’ve talked about it time and time again, are you tracking your progress!?

When tracking your progress and actually writing/recording your performance increases your likelihood of goal achievement by 95%!

This happens because you are creating behavioral change through the frequency of recording and seeing the consistency of change happening over time.

The ability to see your progress actually occurring has a robust impact on you staying consistent and positive towards your goals.

We are constantly videoing and tracking our golf swing and distances but you need to be tracking your strength, power, mobility and endurance as well.

You will begin to see correlations between your physical & skill improvements and how the two must coexist consistently for you to have greater success at achieving your goals.
