🌸 This is my friend, we’ll call her Sam
Sam & I met a year ago when her sister got her a gift card to come see me. Sam really enjoys sounds and her sister thought she would love to be introduced to some new sounds. Now i get ti work with every other week 😊
Sam lives with Rett Syndrome, a neurological condition that affects communication, movement, and sensory processing. While words may not always be available to her, connection absolutely is.
Through sound and vibration, Sam and I have found a beautiful meeting place — one where awareness softens, breath deepens, and calm becomes more accessible. Sound gives us a shared language beyond words. In these moments, I witness greater presence, gentler regulation, and a sense of safety that allows her system to rest and receive.
This week Sam really felt connected to the Venus frequencies, my Tibetan bowls & them being played together. Every visit is a little different, she likes to keep me on my toes. She also enjoys tuning forks.
Sound has become a bridge — helping Sam feel more connected to herself, her body, and the world around her.
✨Side Note: I was given permission by her family to share Sam’s journey with me and sound 🎶
✨ Important Note
Sound therapy is used as a supportive, integrative practice, not as a cure or replacement for medical care. Each person with Rett Syndrome is unique, and sessions should always be gentle, consent-based, and responsive to the individual.
