Kim Murphy, our Community Outreach Director, won beautiful pointsettias in a raffle drawing at the Creative Friends Craft Show, located in Kingsville! They also let us house our brochures and business cards there for the community which was an extra win!!

Have you named your healthcare agent? Many people think advance directives are only important for the elderly, but illness or injury can happen at any time. During an illness or injury, family members may disagree about what you want. Naming a single person that you trust allows that person to represent your wishes, which can prevent confusion and conflict.

Many Marylanders may not know that the Maryland Department of Health offers the Maryland Advance Directive Program, which aims to make creating an advance directive more accessible for everyone. You can create your advance directive online for free through MyDirectives.com/Maryland​!

An official page of the Maryland Department of Health. An advance directive is a written statement about your wishes for medical care. Advance directives make sure your wishes are carried out if you cannot communicate due to illness or injury.
