Recently we set sails for high seas adventure with Grace O’Malle, The Pirate Queen. This real life character lived in a time when a female sea captain was a rarity. We were delighted with tales of life at sea and true swashbuckling drama.

National assisted living week here at Viva Bel-Air was so much fun! We would like to thank the family members who showed us so much appreciation and gratitude. We’d also like to acknowledge our fantastic team of associates; nursing and caregivers, dietary and kitchen staff, housekeepers, activities, and our management team for always doing what is in the best interest of our residents, without whom there would be no us. 🥰

Today management showed gratitude toward our staff as we wrap up national assisted living week by setting up a complementary car wash! 💦 Residents enjoyed sitting out in the beautiful weather to watch this true labor of love by management for their staff! 💕

Every day this week has been an adventure in food delights. Our thanks go out to the families of our residents for bringing treats to us at any given time of day to show their appreciation on N.A.L.W also our associates in the healthcare community, such as Kara from Amedisys Home Health Care And Hospice who treated us to coffee and goodies.

Happy national assisted living week! This week, our residents, and our associates and staff are being treated to all kinds of adventures. We started off with residents having a professional painting lesson with stacey@pinkartpixie. We think our “cup of sunshine” paintings turned out great. 🌻

Residents and their families enjoyed a lovely luau, complete with our dining director, Fabien’s signature island buffet, traditional Hawaiian music, and even a visit from Hawaiian “royalty.”
