π¨ Important Update for Dr. McCoyβs Patients π¨
As you know, Dr. McCoy is reducing his practice size from 7,000 patients to a few hundred in order to provide more personalized, preventive, and comprehensive care through the MDVIP program. With greater demands on physicians from outside forces such as insurance companies, the interest of the individual patient can be lost. Personalized face to face time between patients and their physicians is being eroded with insurance companies forcing us to funnel through patients every 15 min in order to keep our doors open. This will only worsen as a greater number of patients seek out care from a decreasing number of primary care doctors and providers. Traditional Primary care is set up to be reactionary, not preventative.
β¨ This smaller practice size means:
β’ More one-on-one time with Dr. McCoy, he is the only
provider. You will see him and him only. Same day or worse
case, next day appointments.
β’. Access to Dr. McCoy 24 hours a day for emergencies
β’ A stronger focus on prevention and early detection.
Preventative medicine is key.
Your annual membership pays for advanced screenings and testing that help us catch hidden health issues before they become major problems that insurances do not pay for. For example: MDVIP is paired with the Clevland HeartLab to detect inflammatory markers, an extensive lipid panel is done to look at the actual size of particles, an in body test that looks at muscle distribution, fat content, basal metabolic rate, etc. An ABI is done to screen for peripheral vascular disease, EKG, a pulmonary function test is performed, vision/hearing, etc. We can track any changes from year to year to get a head start. The list goes on! Stop in to get more info.
As a member, there are many other benefits such as with travel, and a significant discount on Prenuvo (which is the full body MRI) that can detect cancer before it is even at Stage 1. We will see your children ages 12-26 under a parental membership as well.
π We want you to know enrollment is filling up FAST β we had an overwhelming response and at the current pace, we expect to be full by October 15. Dr. McCoy has almost hit his patient limit after the first 2 weeks of letters being delivered. Once we hit our patient limit, a wait list will be started. Almost all MDVIP practices in our area have wait lists.
π If you want to continue with Dr. McCoy as your primary care physician or are interested in learning more about MDVIP, please contact our local representative Dashi Simpson right here in the office. Feel free to give him a call or stop in during our normal business hours to chat with him:
