Join Kate for a seasonal Self-Care Sunday workshop series, designed to refresh your Mind, Body & Self with each turn of the year.
This 2-hour workshop combines yoga, journaling, and mindful discussion to help you connect with yourself and the natural rhythm of the seasons. After almost 5 years of serving the Harford County yoga community, Yoga Centric has become a favorite place for those new to the mat. More than 75% of the studio’s community has tried yoga for their first time at Yoga Centric.
From the beginning, the studio’s intention and mission has been to offer a place where people could “just be.” An opportunity for the busy and productive people of the county to not be mom/dad, student/teacher, boss/employee, school-helper or coach~ to “just be” themselves~ in a place where even if there were familiar faces only a few inches away, not one person would judge or invade the privacy so overdue for most of us. This privacy has come in the form of pre-class, quiet time in the studio’s radiantly warm heat, dim lights and candle light, while listening to feel-good music, to mindful and quiet conversations with new friends that you would have never crossed paths with before rolling out your mat at Yoga Centric.
In addition to all-level yoga classes and workshops for those ages 8 to 108, Yoga Centric has become a National Yoga Alliance accredited yoga school, educating and certifying 33 new teachers in the local community. Many of these individuals have found their preferred paths as Yoga Centric teachers, while others equally have chosen to continue their accomplished careers more mindfully and successfully with 200 hours of yoga training experience.
Nonetheless, with over four years of memories, new friends and the continuously growing class offerings, Yoga Centric has only peeled away the first few of many new and refreshing layers of what’s ahead for the Harford County yoga community. The gratitude and abundance of joy that has been created in the quaint space of Yoga Centric, tucked away at the end of Bel Air’s Gateway Drive, is immeasurable to those who are part of the community. With plenty of mat spaces left and yoga classes to be had, the instructors and community managers at Yoga Centric look forward to another blissful year.
