We are excited to welcome Dr. Sparkes as the newest addition to our dental practice!

Dr. Sparkes grew up in Harford County, Maryland, and attended Baltimore Lutheran High School in Towson. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology from High Point University in North Carolina. After college, he returned to the Baltimore area to continue his education at the University of Maryland, where he completed the Graduate Program in Life Sciences. While earning his master’s degree, Dr. Sparkes worked as a research assistant in the microbiology lab at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In 2018, he received his Master’s in Cellular and Molecular Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Sparkes continued his education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, graduating with his DDS in May 2022. During dental school, he was selected for membership in the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and served as an Oral Surgery Clerk during his fourth year. He was also awarded the Edgar J. Jacques Memorial Award, presented to the senior most proficient in oral surgery.

Following dental school, Dr. Sparkes completed a General Practice Residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center, where he received advanced training in endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, oral implantology, and restorative dentistry. He earned his GPR certificate in June 2023.

Dr. Sparkes brings extensive experience and a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care, including surgical procedures, prosthodontics, and the treatment of patients with complex medical needs. As a Harford County native, he is thrilled to return to the area and serve the local community. He is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality dentistry while building lasting relationships with his patients.

Outside of the office, Dr. Sparkes enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf, traveling, and cheering on Baltimore sports teams.
