Medical Genetics Awareness Week is a time to highlight the important role genetics can play in understanding and planning for your health.

In this video, our provider, Jennifer Razak, MGC, CGC, explains what a genetic counselor does and how they help patients make informed decisions about genetic testing and family planning.

Reproductive genetic counseling can help individuals and couples understand their chances of passing on certain genetic conditions and explore testing options before pregnancy or during pregnancy. A genetic counselor can also help interpret results and guide you through the next steps with clarity and support.

Reminder: Susquehanna OB/GYN & Nurse Midwifery of Advantia will be transitioning to a new Patient Portal and intake platform on Tuesday, March 17.

Once launched, current patients will need to register on the new portal to:
✅ Schedule and manage appointments with your trusted Susquehanna OB/GYN & Nurse Midwifery of Advantia providers
✅ Review and pay bills online
✅ Securely message your care team for non-emergency matters
✅ Access information from multiple practices in one place

To help ensure that your data migrates properly, you will no longer be able to send new (non-urgent) messages or schedule appointments within the current Patient Portal after 7:00 PM ET Sunday, March 15.

Starting Tuesday, March 17, please be ready to register for the new portal — we’ll send you the link and simple instructions.
