My address to social media:
You know the cliche relationship break-up saying, "It wasn't you, it was me"? Well, it was you AND me, social media. 🫵 & 🙋🏼♀️
This Spring into the juicy depths of Summer...I chose to free myself and go with what I felt called to create.
And, it was not social media content.
Just as I ask my patients if they can "lean into" the nature of their emotions; honoring the seasons of their souls...
I chose to to mine.
And, it looked like:
-increased Five Element Acupuncture education in & the completing a Masters Apprenticeship & Observership ☯️📚
-focused time with my patients in practice
This entailed just being a practitioner and not feeling pressured to post on social media to foster a false sense of "relevance" or fill a externally-imposed, panicked need to garner new patients. I let it happen organically.
-"Playtime": as in accordance with the Summer season, it is a time to bask in the joyous sunshine of life. For me, that looked like stoking the fire of my inner child, which I highly encourage. 🌞✨
In choosing to be in this practice of listening to self, I have found a creative well. I have also filled my own cup, which has long been on a very slow drip cycle. ☕️
So now that I have essentially hopped the fence back into this realm...let's see what happens. Your guess is probably as good as mine, AND let's at least try and enjoy the ride TOGETHER. ♥️
As a sole business owner, I am my practice. That also means I am my social media accounts. I have yet to hire someone and I'm not sure I ever will. When someone schedules an Acupuncture appointment at my practice, I am the one administering the treatment. So, why would I leave any content on my pages to anyone but me?
What I am exploring is this:
How can we make social media more sacred so that IT SERVES? To be continued...🤳🙏
