Announcing the closing of the studio in 2024. A date has not yet been set however, the pieces are in motion to shut the doors.

I will continue to coach and drive my committed clients to their best results however, I will only accept new clients with a referral. All business will be run through my personal page and phone number.

You’ve seen the images of business starting in a garage and my business was no different. When I launched Top Fitness Pod I did so with one goal in mind, helping people improve their health; easier said than done. I couldn’t just walk around with my bath tub sized medical device, so I outfitted a trailer with the comforts and privacy of a medical office... and then I faced the elements of my first winter. I don’t know how many of you own a trailer or work outside during the winter but the combination of the two did not bode well for my physical and mental health. To be fair I loved being on the road, helping new gyms and meeting new clients but when the preparation time stretched to nearly 7 hours due to the freezing weather and I found myself pulling up at 2am for 10am testing, I knew a change was in order. Along came Empowered Fitness. While several gyms offered to make space, Empowered offered me a partnership and an opportunity to warm up my business. A year later and I am still at Empowered (8019 Belair Rd Suite 1, Nottingham MD - right next to the rolling rink) and loving it. I’m able to help individual clients, groups/teams and professional athletes as they look to better understand by testing with Top Fitness Pod and the gold standard in measuring body composition, the Bod Pod. The Bod Pod provides a readout of their lean body mass, body fat and RMR, and each test includes a free fitness consultation helping each client break down the macros needed to achieve their goals. I have found two common issues since I began testing clients:


  • Clients either are ashamed of their current level of fitness and are afraid to test or clients are overconfident in their fitness and testing provides them with a necessary wake up call.

  • Clients that come in that starting ‘dieting’ on their own are severely undereating (i.e. 1,200 cals. when they should be eating 1800 to lose body fat). While undereating seems like an effective way to lose weight to these individuals they are turning a blind eye to the following risks.

  • Malnutrition
