It can be really hard to fully rest when we've been/are on high alert because of trauma or crisis or threats to our security, including constant money worries and trying to make enough to cover everything each month.

I am a huge advocate for each of us getting as much rest or even more rest than we need - it's super important, because you're important. AND if it doesn't come easy to you, you get to have compassion for yourself - there's likely some complex and very real reasons why.
