Catholic Care Center

Catholic Care Center At Catholic Care Center we believe that to care for someone means more than providing physical care.

Catholic Care Center is a not-for-profit Catholic healthcare ministry, we are located on the Catholic Life Center campus at 45th Street north and Woodlawn. We offer all levels of living including independent living, assisted living, memory support residences, long-term care, short-term skilled nursing, and an adult day program. Catholic Care Center was the vision of the late Bishop Emeritus Eugene

Ge**er who said, “We cannot care for all the seniors of the world, but we can show the world how to care for all seniors. Bishop Ge**er was a visionary who knew that our community was on the threshold of a new day where generations of seniors and retired clergy would be in need of a place to call home in their later years. Not only did he envision a home for them, he saw a true community where they could learn, live, grow, celebrate their faith, and share their gifts and talents. We owe the beautiful ministry of Catholic Care Center to his legacy and to the legacy of all the outstanding leaders who have worked tirelessly to carry out his vision. As we look toward our thirtieth anniversary, we remember those who helped create this community and we look confidently toward the future and today's leaders who will continue to know, love, and serve all who join our campus family. We invite you to explore our community and hope that we will be blessed with the opportunity to serve you and your family

We’re off to a great start this sunny Monday morning! Cherokee, a mini therapy horse, is here visiting residents and staff. We are also fortunate to welcome high school students from Sunrise Christian Academy who are in the bistro making paper flowers to share around campus. You never know who will walk through the door here, two or four legged!

Thank you for the incredible hospitality! We hope to see you again soon!

HUGE shout out to our amazing staff and customers. We had a group from the Catholic Care Center in for lunch. These ladies are 85, 90, 93 years young. Our staff & customers were moving tables, chairs, holding doors open doing ALL the things with grace and patience. The ladies felt seen, valued, and welcomed. Thank you American Red Cross for being so gracious in the back room.

Starting Friday, we will be hosting Stations of the Cross via Facebook Live at 2:00 from the Chapel of Divine Mercy at Catholic Care Center. What started out of necessity 2020, has evolved into a meaningful part of our ministry’s Lenten journey as we are fortunate to share this time with those who may not be able to join in-person praying of the Stations. We hope you will join us each Friday of Lent.
