Student Employment on campus offers flexible hours to build around your academic class schedule, and you work right on campus!

The Blue Bus: Military & Veterans Fare-Free MyBlue™ Program

Blue Bus has launched a new initiative to provide fare-free rides for veterans and active-duty military personnel on MyBlue™ on-demand rideshare services.

Under the new Veterans & Active Military Duty Fare-Free MyBlue™ Program, eligible riders with a valid U.S. military or veteran ID will receive complimentary rides within all MyBlue™ service zones, including Española, Edgewood, La Cienega, Pojoaque/Nambé, and Taos. Veterans and Active-Duty military members will need to apply online at https://www.ncrtd.org/about-ncrtd/bus-fares-and-fee-structure/veterans/ or download the application.

New Mexicans will receive full November SNAP benefits.

Yesterday, after receiving guidance from the USDA, New Mexico sent full November SNAP benefits to all eligible New Mexicans. We won’t stand by while the President works to deny food to hungry children, families and seniors

The state loaded federal SNAP food benefits to eligible New Mexicans’ EBT cards following an initial Rhode Island federal court order and subsequent guidance from the USDA. Eligible New Mexicans will see food benefits on their EBT cards on their regular issuance date. While the Supreme Court later stayed that order, New Mexico families already had full access to 100% of their full November benefits.

Families can use the funds loaded on EBT cards.

Approximately 460,000 New Mexicans rely on SNAP each month for food assistance. The program also generates economic activity, producing up to $1.80 in local economic benefits for every SNAP dollar spent.

The second special legislative session is moving forward on Monday because Republicans in Congress have not ended this needless federal government shutdown.

We cannot leave New Mexicans at the mercy of federal dysfunction. This special session will give us the tools to feed families if Republicans in Congress fail them again. We're not waiting around to find out.
