Here are 7 of the biggest nutrition myths you need to stop believing today:
1. MYTH 1 : EGGS ARE BAD THEY RAISE CHOLESTEROL.
TRUTH : Eggs do not significantly impact blood cholesterol and they are one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet. I call them multivitamins that's why I eat 6 a day .
Egg yolks are packed with:
• B12 (energy & metabolism)
• Choline (brain & liver function)
• Vitamin D (hormones & immunity)
Eat the whole egg. Your ancestors did.
2. MYTH 2 : EATING DIETARY FATS MAKE YOU FAT.
TRUTH : Fat doesn’t make you fat. Fake food does. Blame sugar. Dietary fat is essential for hormone production and brain function. You can't absorb fat soluble vitamins like vitamin A, D, E, K without eating fats. Your s*x hormones and other hormones are made from fats.
The real culprits? Processed carbs and seed oils.
• Avoid processed garbage, sugar in bottles, starchy carbs
• Eat: Butter, tallow, and olive oil, coconut oil, Lard
• Avoid: Seed oils and processed junk
3. MYTH 3 : PLANT PROTEINS ARE AS JUST SAME AS ANIMAL PROTEINS.
TRUTH : Animal protein is superior for muscle growth and metabolic health. Unlike plant proteins, animal proteins:
• Have all essential amino acids. Plants don't.
• Are more bioavailable (better absorbed)
• Contain B12, heme iron, and creatine. No plant can give you that .
4. RED MEAT CAUSE CANCER AND GOUT
TRUTH : Red meat isn’t the problem. Processed food is and processed meats is. High-quality red meat is loaded with heme iron and B12.
The real danger lies in nitrates and inflammatory additives found in processed "meats" and sugar. Sausages have nitrites and sodium metabisulphite which cause cancer, they blame organic meat for that.
Gout is cause by over production of uric acid due to the liver receiving too much raw materials ( fructose sugar and alcohol) or the kidneys under excretion of uric acid due to insulin resitance as a result of diabetes or hypertension or metabolic syndrome. Meat don't cause any gout. Eat meat in peace.
5. MYTH 5 : SALT IS VERY BAD IT CAUSE HYPERTENSION
TRUTH: Your body requires salt for nerve function and hydration. The problem isn't salt; it's refined sodium in processed foods. Also the problem is sugar which is causing insulin resistance making the kidneys hold on to water and sodium raising blood pressure
• Use: High-quality salt (Celtic or Himalayan).
• Avoid: Hidden sodium in "convenience" foods. Stay away from processed garbage.
6. BUTTER AND ANIMAL FATS ARE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH.
TRUTH: Grass-fed butter, tallow and Lard are superfood. They contains fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) and CLA for fat loss. They have omega 3 fatty acid which lower inflammation
• Choose: Real, grass-fed butter
• Reject: Margarine and vegetable oils that cause systemic inflammation
7. DRINK 8 GLASSES OF WATER PER DAY
TRUTH: Hydration = Water + Electrolytes.
Drinking plain water can actually flush out essential minerals. Focus on adding sea salt to your water and consuming mineral-rich bone broth or coconut water.
Remember :
