This years Memorial Day Service has been cancelled due to the recent Coronavirus. Also their will be no flags placed at veterans gravesites by the American Legion/Boy Scout Troop 341 by order of the VA. If you wish you may come and place a flag(s) at veterans gravesites. If you have questions please call the Cemetery at 479-304-5932.

We will have a Wreaths Across America ceremony Saturday the 14th at 2 pm. We will be honoring veterans interred at the cemetery by placing Wreaths on each grave along with a speakers.

It's been a while since I have posted. I get busy with the business of managing the cemetery and put it off - need to improve on keeping up to date posting.

Bella Vista Museum is conducting a driving tour of cemeteries in Bella Vista tomorrow afternoon. We are one of eight in the area and I will be at the cemetery to handout brochures and information about our lovely cemetery.

Many people come to the cemetery to walk in the parklike atmosphere. Consequently, the cemetery now allows pets on leashes. Pet owners must be respectful of gravesites and mourners by keeping pets off the grass and cleaning up after them. A pet waste station has been installed at the flagpole near the entrance. We respectfully ask that all patrons of the space work with us to keep the cemetery clean and serene.

American Legion Post 341 Memorial Day Program
The American Legion Post 341 will be having a Memorial Day program at 10:00 AM on Monday, 05/29/17, at the Bella Vista Cemetery on Buckstone Drive. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be moved to the American Legion building at 1889 Bella Vista Way. The program is free and open to all who wish to honor our veterans.

Great day at the cemetery on Saturday for workday. We had a wonderful turnout and got a lot of work done. Thanks to Donna for organizing the project. I'm sure she took lots of photos and will share them soon.

“Let’s Put the Beauty Back in Bella.”

The discovery of the Bella Vista Daffodil has prompted the Bella Vista Garden Club to approach the City of Bella Vista with a beautification project. More than 10,000 (ten thousand) bulbs have been ordered from the Netherlands and will soon be arriving. The Garden Club will be planting them all around the City, including five (5) areas of the Cemetery. The City will make bulbs available to citizens for private planting, and another shipment will be available for sale later. The city will use the blooming of the daffodils as the kickoff point for a city-wide spring cleanup. The POA will be fully on board with the program by 2016. 100 (one hundred) bulbs sell for $60-$70.00 (sixty to seventy dollars). The Garden Club is anxious to get area churches involved in the project and specifically asked that BVCAB request its member churches to participate.

The Cemetery board members met at the cemetery on Saturday June 13 for a clean up day. Several members in attendance and a big thank you for helping clean, trim and make the cemetery look nice.
