Anaphylaxis is a serious allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and may cause death.

Symptoms usually involve more than one part of the body, some include:
o Skin rashes, itching or hives
o Swelling of lips
o Shortness of breath, trouble breathing or wheezing
o Dizziness and/or fainting
o Stomach pain, vomiting diarrhea

Epinephrine is the most important treatment available for anaphylaxis, always carry it with you so you can treat a reaction quickly, no matter where you are. In the case of anaphylaxis, immediately call 911 and seek medical care, even if you feel better because symptoms can recur.
