What does a facelift look like 6 months after surgery?

A deep plane facelift isn’t just lifting, it’s repositioning the tissues in a more youthful position by moving the muscle and skin together.

The skin doesn’t age independently of the deeper structures. When you slide your cheek up and say “that looks better”, you are feeling the glide of the plane in which the tissues descend and age. When a facelift looks “pulled,” it’s usually because an older technique was used or an un-natural vector was used for the pull.

Modern techniques focus on lifting the deeper structural layers of the face and neck together. By repositioning everything as a unit instead of creating tension in one area the result looks smoother, more balanced, and far more natural.

Advances in deep plane and preservation techniques allow us to restore contour while maintaining normal anatomy, especially in the neck.
